.Net 3.5 SP1 Takes 1 hour to install?!? Sanity check please.
We have built an Outlook 2007 Add-in using VS2008 and VSTO. Deployment is
via Click-once off of our web site to our paying customers. Note: this is
NOT an enterprise scenario - we exist to make money selling software built
using MS tools to other firms in the technology industry.
Everything works fine, but the Asp.Net 3.5 SP1 portion of the install
process is ridiculous:

Versions
I need to free up some hard disk space and am wondering what if any versions
I can uninstall.
I currently have versions 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 and 3.0 service pack 1 installed.
I'm not a programmer and to my knowledge never use these programs, can I
safely uninstall some or all of them.
They take up a large amount of disk space and everything else on the drive I
use quite often.
Thanks

EnableDotNet3.exe
I have a basic question on how to install (or enable) .Net 3.0 on Vista. I am
assuming that only way is to use EnableDotNet3.exe. Right? I couldn't find
any hint on the usage of EnableDotNet3.exe neither on MSDN nor in Google:
1. Can I include EnableDotNet3.exe in my own installers without licensing
issues?
2. What are the possible error return codes of EnableDotNet3.exe, so I could

COM DLL compiled under v1.1 won't install under higher version Framework
I built a DLL in VB.NET, and registered it for COM operation.
I copied it to another machine, where the .NET Framework v2.0 was installed,
and registered it with RegAsm.
It worked fine!
(I then unregistered and deleted it)
Then I built a setup project, so that my users wouldn't have to manually
register it with RegAsm.
When I run the setup project on the target machine, it complains...
