renew certificate
Hi everyone:
My question is the following. I've hundreds of macros signed with a
certificate from my own Microsoft CA. The certificate is just valid till
next January 14th. I would like to renew the certificate so I had not to
sign all macros again. What do I have to do so I can renew the certificate
without having to sign all macros again??

Web Applications Single Sign-on Issue
I have several web applications developed and would like to utilize a single
sign-on for users. I have developed AuthApp which is the authorization

Anonymous access + Windows Authentication
Hello,
I have a web app that uploads files to a file server (different box than the
web server). The application uses NT integrated authentication, but no users
should have permissions to the file server.
How can I use a fixed domain account to upload the files to the file server
while still preserving the users' Windows integrated authentication on the
web server?

Question about TCP/IP and SSL with sslstream
Hi there,
I am using vb.net 2005 on SSL connection to a remoted server based on
TCP/IP.
So far everything is ok. Handshake is done successfully.
Now I have question about sslstream, and I am using ssltream.write to
send request.
The question is : The request I am going to send, is it automatically
encrypted and signed? or I have to do encryption and sign by call other
functions...

Window update error 8000FFF
My Windows update has not worked since 10 Oct 2008.
I get the error 8000FFF every time no matter how often i try.
Now we cannot manually update like before I am in trouble.
Today I read there is a major problem with Windows.
I need the security patch but can't get it.

Setting full trust on a server directory for Visual Studio 2005
I am having problems running visual studio applications on a network drive in
the development environment.
I have added a new entry in .NetFramework 2.0 Configuration as follows:
Code Group Name = Development
Condition Type = Application Directory
Permission Set FullTrust
This didn't work.

Changes to BinaryReader.PeekChar() method
Someone recently pointed out that one of the utility applications I wrote to
parse various types of public/private RSA keys was broken (but has been

I am seeing the following exception
Access to the path 'Global\.net clr networking' is denied when trying to
use the IPAddress.TryParse method.
It looks like the .NET Sockets is trying to use a performance counter when
InitializeSockets gets called (via IPAddress.TryParse).

SignedXml.CheckSignature returns false when the root element has namespace declarations
Hi,
I am using SignedXml with RSACryptoServiceProvider to sign some XML.
the verification seems to work OK if there is no namespace declaration
on the root element of the XML but if there is one it always returns
false.

Using a Java Keytool created certificate in HTTPWebRequest.ClientCertificates
I am writing some code to connect to a custom Java HTTP server. I have

Don't understand System.Security.SecurityException
I am trying to execute my application from another networked drive. My C

DES decryption bigger than expected
Hi all
I'm using DES to encrypt short binary messages - 7 bytes. This yields
8 bytes crypto text as expected.
Using Win32 CryptoAPI I can decrypt no problem.
This app now has to run in .NET and I am decrypting 16 bytes.

brastk virus doesn't allow to visit legitimate web sites
My PC was infected by brastk virus and I think I removed the virus (deleted
beep.sys, got rid of karna.dat and brastk.exe, fake svchost.exe in
/windows/drivers/etc/, cleaned up registry etc). However, I am not able to
