How do I crop a picture inserted into OneNote?
Morales 6/11/2006 1:56:01 AM
I have copied a screenshot of a web page and pasted into OneNote, but I
cannot figure out how to crop the image and resize it (like I often do using
Word).

Is there similar picture formatting in OneNote?

Aloha Morales,

No. You need to either crop it when you first capture it, or initiate another
screen capture and crop it then. (or copy/paste the image into a picture
editor and crop it there)

I just want to add to the call for a basic cropping tool. the clipper
prevents this from being a disaster, but a cropping tool would be much easier
to use for images already in your notebook. And, I would expect that you
could maintain a higher image quality for images that were inserted or
pasted, not clipped, originally (though I don't actually know the details of
this feature).

There is no such feature in ON.
My workaround: IrfanView (great freeware applications for doing 1001
things with images [1]). It's pretty easy to just use copy+paste to
bring an image into IrfanView, crop it there and the paste it back into
ON.
