opening XML Files
mjlohr 11/5/2008 1:12:09 PM
I am currently in college and my professor put some files on our school
website for us to save to do our work at home. She saved them in XML format
and I spent hours trying to open them but I wasn't able to. I tried saving
them to different areas like "My Documents" and I tried to chagit it to .xlsx
but nothing works. Can someone please help me figure out what to do because
my assignment is due next week. Thank you. Mary

OK.

To begin with, changing the file extension won't help. That's like changing the
label on the salt shaker to read "Sugar" ... doesn't change what's inside and that's
what counts.

Do you know what exact steps she followed and *why* she saved them as XML instead of
as normal Excel files?

Do you have Office 2007?
