Printer not installed error - when 3 are installed
"KenE" <Freebrd2[Shift+2]bellsouth.net> 12/18/2008 5:47:33 AM
Windows Vista Ultimate 64 with Office XP Pro. Running about a year with no
printing issues. Today, the Excel application [only] cannot find the
installed printers and tells me so at every turn. All other Office
applications can continue to print to the printer without issue. Excel also
now displays the EULA every time the application is opened, even though I
have accepted the EULA many times today. The EULA can be printed, but
nothing thereafter in Excel.

Even though all other applications had no problems, I uninstalled /
reinstalled the printers. Same results. I unplugged USB cable / restarted
Vista / plugged cable back in / got the "found new hardware" dialogue box.
Same results. All but Excel 2002 can print. Excel 2002 cannot find the
printer and gives NO PRINTER INSTALLED error message box. I then used the
REPAIR function in the uninstall program and still no printers found.

Microsoft HELP was no help. Web search also failed to reveal a cause /
cure. I believe it is a registry "hiccup" but do not know where to begin
searching. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I uninstalled Office XP Pro, restarted my PC, then re-installed Office XP
Pro. The printing problem still remains. I can print from some
applications, but not from all. The EULA is presented every time I start
one of the Office applications.

Forget it. It's working now, thanks to other assistance resources.
