Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 Installation
Adam 12/27/2008 7:46:00 PM
I recently purchased Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 through the Microsoft
Home Use Program (https://hup.microsoft.com/) featured by my employer. I
attempted to install it initially and it seemed to be working successfully.
However, during the install process, my power went out and my computer shut
off. When the electricity was restored, my computer started back up as
normal, and I attempted to restart the installation. It appeared to be going
successully, until about two minutes into the install process, when I
received a generic error stating that the install process could not continue.
My only option was to close, so I did. I then proceeded to delete all the
contents of "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office" (I have no other Office
Products installed, so there was nothing I needed in that folder) as well as
to delete everything named "Microsoft Office" in the registry. After this,
the installation still could not continue, and I received the same generic
error message. I am hoping that someone has a solution.

I have gone to Microsoft's Tech Support page and looked for help there, but
I do not have $100 to spend on an email message or $260 to spend on a phone
or live chat session. I spent all of $25 on this product through the Hone Use
Program.

Thanks!
