If it was a full version supplied by HP, then HP will tell you were the key is, however I suspect it is a trial version that once the trial period has elapsed you have to purchase a key from MS to activate it. If that is the case you would be better off purchasing the version you require from eg amazon.com, that way being cheaper & you get the CD. Uninstall any trial, and reboot, prior to installing from CD
