Office Pro 2007 Not Installed For Current User
H.Jai 10/22/2008 8:01:01 PM
Okay, I've tried creating a temp account as suggested by anypcinfo.com, I've
tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application. It worked fine the
first day. I tried to start it up today and all I get is "Microsoft Office
{PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc} has not been installed for the current user.
Please run setup to install the application."

I've been through several forums and sites to fix the problem, but nothing
is working. Does anyone know how to fix it with a solution I haven't found
yet and what the problem is???

Have you tried logging in as the administrator and accepting it?

I am the administrator. I'm the only account on the computer and I maintain
full administration rights, of course.

I thought it would be worth a shot to create a secondary administration
account and do as anypcinfo.com suggested, but as I said, that didn't work
either.

I deleted that account and it's back down to just the one account I log in
under.

I am having the same issues that H.Jai is having.

I have Office 2007 Ultimate and am running Windows Vista ultimate and both
are genuine.

I am running as administrator, but I created a new account and tried to run
the programs, but got the same error.
"microsoft office {Word/Excel/etc...} has not been installed for the current
user. Please run setup to install the application"

Can we get this problem escillated? I have re-installed office twice already.

You receive an error message when you install an Office program or open an
Office program or document

I finally got past this problem, but not before creating a couple of others..
I had to run microsoft install cleanup program on the programs menu for all
Office2007 products. then I reinstalled Office 2007. This fixed the first
problem but created a "not enough memory or disk space" problem, which could
not have been true. Then I had to follow these instructions from other posts:

This issue may occur if the original release version of the Compatibility
Pack for the 2007 Office system is installed on the same computer as the Beta
2 Technical Refresh version of the 2007 Microsoft Office programs.

Please follow the steps available in the support link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928499

then,

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911682

It was a royal pain, but worked...there may be a better way.
