MS Word (Enterprise 2007) was fine until yesterday. Now it stops working. I've run diagnostics, and repair from the disk. No luck. I can use the keyboard, but can't select text with a mouse, etc. I get the "Microsoft Word has stopped working" message, then it searches for a solution, but no luck so far.

That's usually the result of a DataKey corruption and seems to occur if Word was left running when Windows Update runs. You need to run Regedit, navigate tot he Data key and delete it. Word will automatically create a new key when it is restarted.
Word DataKey
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\version number\Word\Data

Hi Terry,
For some reason I didn't reply to this, and it worked perfectly. Then today, I had to find all of this again. Thank you so much

1. Close Word.
2. On the Start menu, choose Run and type "regedit," (without the quotation marks). This will open the Windows Registry, which (if you're not familiar with it) has folders that are navigated just the same as folders in Windows Explorer (My Computer).
3. In the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder, find the Word Data key at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data
4. The "key" will be a folder named "Data." Delete it. Word will build a new key upon startup.
