Office XP Recovery

I have a COMPAQ that had Office XP Profesional preloaded. Unfortunately I
had to do a system recovery because of a failure in the XP Home operating
system. The operating system recovered, but when it rebuilt the registery it
left out the activation of the Office XP (I assume). All of the Office files
are on the computer, but when you try to open any of them it says the "The
requested application has not been installed for the current user. Please
run setup to install the application."

Any one have an idea of how to get the program "reinstalled" without buying
a set of Office XP disks?

Did not Compaq supply the Office cd disks, or were they not included in a
hidden recovery partition?
