PowerPoint to Word in 2-slides-per-page Format
gh 12/23/2008 3:22:03 AM
I need to print PowerPoint 2007 slides to Word 2007 in 2-slides-per-page
handout format. Most of the other formats are available for this function,
but not this one. The only way I have found to do it within Office is
printing to OneNote from PowerPoint, then importing into Word.

Is there a way to print directly into Word? Why are the other formats
available, but not this one? Are there plans to add this one?

Have you tried the Publish feature? Office Btn->Publish->Create Handouts in
Word.
In the dialog box select Blank lines below slides and click OK. This will
give you 1 slide per page but if you delete the lines and a few spaces you
can produce 2 slides per page in Word without too much difficulty.

Thanks, but I'm doing this operation with hundreds of slides, so I need
something more automated.
Best regards,

Do you specifically need to end up with this in Word or would a solution that
lets you just print handouts in the format you want also work?

If the latter, check out Shyam's handout wizard.

http://skp.mvps.org and poke around from there.
