Modifying grammar
Frank 12/10/2008 3:05:03 PM
One of my co-workers is constantly being told she is in error typing things
like "several members of the staff are ready to change", where MSW wants
to change "are" to "is", interpreting "staff" as singular. How can I tell
MSW to
allow "staff" to be used as both plural & singular?

Thxmuch,

Hi,

I am not sure if you can customize specific word/ style itself. However to
avoid Grammar check for this particular style you can uncheck an option at
1. Go to "Word Options" dialog
2. Click the "Proofing".
3. Click 'Settings' button under Spelling and Grammar
4. Then in the Grammar Settings dialog, select "Grammar & Style" from drop
down box then UNCHECK "Subject-Verb agreement" under Grammar.
5. Click OK.

This will ignore any Verb in the sentence.
