Duplicate Section Groups
Tony 12/27/2008 5:02:05 PM
I have one note 2007. Recently, when I reopen the One note program, I find
that there are several duplicate section groups at the top. They mirror
sections that are already there. I have no idea why this all of a sudden
started doing this. It actually adds 20 new section groups on 4 separate
section topics that I have listed.

Sounds like maybe you're using FolderShare or some other synchronization
agent to synchronize changes between one or more PC's. If you've included
your entire My Documents folder and that's where your OneNote files are,
you're gonna run into that a lot. OneNote shouldn't be synchronized using
those kinds of apps or else you'll wind up with a lot of conflicts.

If this is the case let me know and I can point you to some information on a
much more solid synchronization method.

Any idea how to go back to the way it was? I am growing tire of deleting
duplicate section groups every day. Thank you.

Try closing and re-opening the notebook on any computers that have it
open. Does that resolve the problem?

Beats me. You didn't indicate whether or not what I suggested was actually
the case.
