Office 2007 on Server 2008 Beta 3
Matt MC 6/5/2007 5:05:02 PM

I'm trying to install Office 2007 on Server 2008 Beta 3 to set it up with
Terminal Server RemoteApps.

Installs fine (through Install Applications on Terminal Server) but through
both TS and opening up any of the apps on the server comes up with
"This feature is not available. For more information, contact your system
administrator."

Event Viewer errors seem to think I'm missing files even tho everything is
set to "Run all from My Computer"

Event ID: 1004
Detection of product '{91120000-0014-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}', feature
'ProductFiles', component '{97F81AF1-0E47-DC99-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}' failed.
The resource '' does not exist.

Event ID: 1001
Detection of product '{91120000-0014-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}', feature
'EXCELFiles' failed during request for component
'{0638C49D-BB8B-4CD1-B191-052E8F325736}'

Any idea's?

Hi Matt

Hi

Not even going to get into detail here but you should have known that Windows2008 Server is a Beta at present.

You should be directing this issue to the Beta newsgroup for Windows 2008 Server(Longhorn) if you are a official Beat tester. You would also have the link to post this (report) to the W2K8 Beta lead for that group.

Not everybody will have W2K8 Beta on their system here and they will not be able to answer your concern concerning Office 2007 issues running in a Beta OS environment. There can be too many variables for the issue that you posted

I suppose you are using a Volume License Version of Office 2007 as this ist
a *must* for installing on a terminal Server?
