Outlook converting emails to contacts?
schlagce[ at ]airproducts.com 12/31/2008 3:13:12 AM
Hello,

I'm copying a link to a posting regarding an issue in Outlook
converting incoming emails to contacts (all by itself)!

Since this newsroup is just for contacts, I thought I would post this
message here as well.

If anyone has any info to solve this issue, I'd certainly be grateful.

Thanks,
Scotty81

Would strongly recommend that this issue be posed to Zimbra - the provider
of the "Zimbra Connector for Microsoft Outlook" which in turn controls what
is going on (as per
http://www.zimbra.com/products/desktop_compatibility.html). Ergo, very
unlikely that this is an issue <caused> by Outlook.

Zimbra support: https://support.zimbra.com/supportlogin.php
Zimbra Forums: http://www.zimbra.com/forums/zimbra-connector-outlook/

For what it's worth, the problem is real simple.....the items are being
created using the wrong <Message Class> (or the Message Class is being
altered) which would cause what you describe. The more difficult unanswered
question is <why> (in terms of what the Zimbra connector is doing when new
items are received -one thing is certain - Outlook doesn't <change> the
Message Class of any item on its own).
