win xp and office 97- slowly killing me!
silver lining <abdultalib[ at ]gmail.com> 6/19/2007 6:52:22 PM
i bought a used computer on winxp. i tried to remove ms off97 from add/
remove programs but it keeps saying please enter cd. the person i
bought the pc from has not got the cd and nor do i. when i tried to
unistall it says please enter cd.....what cd?!is there any way of
removing off97 without having the damn cd. not the most efficient way
of allowing customers to remove software is it?!

i have also purchased office 2003 from ebay, but when i tried to
install, it couldn't remove the old software because amst.lsl (i
think) was missing.

anyu help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you. i have tried to get rid of office 97 and have. BUT i still
can't get rid of Access 2000. it says Error 1402 verify that you have
access to the key and contact support. i checked Microsoft support and
they gave the same info. As this is a home computer i don't have
support.

i guess i was blaming poor 10 year old off 97 for no reason.

please help
