Sounds like a damaged disk or something on the computer hardware like the CD-ROM drive... You could try copying the contents of the entire Office CD/DVD to a folder on the hard drive if you have the free space. If you get some kind of error like a CRC error then it's probably the DVD/CD or CD-ROM drive.
