MS Access 2007 cannot execute event code
pavski 12/3/2008 12:35:03 PM
When I attempt select an item in a form combo box to activate an
'AfterUpdate' event, I get the following error:

"The expression After Update you entered as the event property setting
produced the following error: A problem occured while Microsoft Office Access
was communicating with the OLE server or ActiveX Control

* The expression may not have result in the name of a macro, the name of a
user-defined function or [Event Procedure]
* There may have been an error evaluating the function, event or macro"
"
This error occurs before even one line of code is executed. Furthermore, the
same error arises when executing other events like 'OnClick' etc

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Regards,

Pav

Best regards,

Pav

Hi,
can be a localized access version problem, see:

pavski,

The errors you mentioned happen a lot A2007. Decompiling the database
clears it up. Whenever code won't execute I close and open the database and
it is ok. Installing the Office updates will clear up a lot of trouble.

God Bless,

Mark A. Sam
