Error when reinstalling Office Home edition simplyjojo 10/21/2008 2:30:03 PM Hi .. I am encountering a major problem.... Restarted my laptop and my office application can't work.. decided to delete it and reinstalling from the CD but I get this problem.. 'Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 encountered an error during setup. Error 1317. Setup cannot create the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\Office Setup Controller. Verify that the path exists in your system and that you have sufficient permissions to update it. Error 2330. Setup cannot create the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OFFICE12\Office Setup Controller\Office.en-us. Verify that the path exists in your system and that you have sufficient permissions to update it." Can someone confirm that I have to create the folders in that path before I can install?
