Toolbar Ghost

Microsoft Word 2003:

I have a document that has it's own toolbar and macros. It is not a
template. I need to remove the toolbar and macros and move in another set of
macros and a new toolbar into the document. The new set is in a template. I
first removed the toolbar and macros under "templates and add ins" and then
copy over styles, toolbar, and macros. Everything looks fine while I am
working on the document but when I save it, close, and reopen, the toolbar
opens and it looks like the old toolbar but is named the new toolbar name.
Every document we try to do this too, does this.

Do you know how to fix this? How can it look fine while you are in the
document and then change the next time you open it. I need help, please.

Thanks,

Debra Ann

While you can save macros in a document it is preferable to save them in the
document's template to help avoid security issues.
Having deleted, moved or copied the macros/toolbar to their new location did
you save the source and destination document/template?
You can delete custom toolbars from tools > customize > toolbars.

I would prefer to save them in a template and have the document look at it
but I am getting a "no can do" from management as they find that if I put the
template out on a network for everyone to see and then someone is working at
home or in a hotel and is not on the network, that they will not have access
to the toolbars and macros. Is this true? Or does the document keep all the
toolbars and macros and just not have any updates until they log into the
network?

Anyways, I did first remove the toolbars from tools > customize > toolbars
but that did not prevent the new toolbar from showing up with the old toolbar
information. This is freaking me out as I cannot figure this one out.

Thanks and any other ideas would be great.
