Hey, it took hours for this to download! Could it be because I had
mistakenly downloaded the student version and then deleted it (via the
software removal thing through the control panel) earlier today? If so, what
do I do? Because:
1. now the activation screen comes up with no way to put in the previous
activation code
2. when I try to activate it with the new one, which comes up automatically
every time I try to activate, I'm getting the following message:
"The Microsoft Office Activation Assistant was unable to launch your 2007
Microsoft Office release. Please re-enter your selection or open Microsoft
Office from the directory. If the error continues, go to
www.microsoft.com/office/pctrial2007 for additional information. "
3. and when I go to the link there is nothing there to help me sort this out.
I'd appreciate any ideas you might have!
