MAPI32.DLL corrupt in Vista ingmar 12/29/2008 10:33:01 PM I have a brand new Acer with preloaded testversion of Office 2007 which i do not want. Bought Office 2003. Tried to uninstall 2007 before engaging it. Then installed 2003. Outlook does not open with the usual box: mapi32.dll is corrupt or used by another .... I don´t know how many items to uninstall to get rid of Uff 2007, is SQLserver 2005 on of them? How handle in Vista to access and repair mapi? -- among icebears with a new cp

Once you rename/delete, do a detect/repair of Office 2003 and it should bring in the right versions of MAPI. Note: Known issue that an uninstall of Office 2007 leaves behind the MAPI32.DLL file.
