Opening Microsoft Replication Manager Application takes forever
shsiva[ at ]gmail.com 6/26/2007 5:39:57 PM
Greetings:

Recently I have been experiencing very slowness of Opening Microsoft
Replication Manager application taking forever (over 8minutes based on
log created using FileMon).

I have over 200 Hub replica's that are managed by ReplMan and since
last month I never faced any problem other than seeing "unable to read
system clock" while opening this App.

Recently I start to notice this dead slowness of opening the
Application taking over 8 minutes and opening any replica take over a
minute.

Can any one suggest me what could be the cause?

Thanks in advance

Well, does FileMon show any missing files?

Otherwise, I think an inability to read the system clock would be a
showstopper, too.

I don't use ReplMan so don't have much else to suggest.

Is the synchronizer already running when you start ReplMan?

How many replicas are managed by the local synchronizer?

How large is the entire replica set?

Can you read the replication system tables in the replica you're
opening with ReplMan?

Have you tried opening a different replica?

Have you tried closing the replica and then opening ReplMan without
a replica set opened?
