Can I undo changes to a calendar event after saving?
Cathi 12/31/2008 2:10:00 PM
I have a recurring event on my Outlook calendar (2007 professional). When I
made changes to the recurring schedule all of my information from the past
year which had been on the events disappeared. Is there any way to back up or
undo changes after they have been made? [PS- the undo button won't work, I
think the change has been saved.]

Do you have a backup of the calendar you can retrieve a copy of the event
from? If not, you can't recover it. If you can recover it, export it to
Excel and import the past events as individual items. (This is one reason I
don't like recurring events for important appointments - they are fine for
birthdays and such, just not for events I need to keep in my archive.)

Diane,

Thank you very much for your reply! I am unsure if there is a backup, if
there is it is on our server (this is a work computer) and we are waiting to
hear from our 'IT guy.'

There are 17 of us who use these same recurring events for what we call a
weekly update. I am going to have everyone print out their old ones and start
using individual events from now on. I really appreciate your advice.
