Parameter Query for PASSWORD doesn't maintain Input Mask
I've created a Query asking for "Your Password?". I've tried setting the
input mask to PASSWORD, but the Data Access Page doesn't show *******. It
still shows the password as I'm typing it.
I also can't figure out how to change the format of the "Enter Paramters"
box on the DAP.

Report saved as DAP
Hi group,
I have a simple mdb (A2k) containing a table and a report.
Tha table contains the name of the images.tif
This report have a text box Document_Name (with the image name) and an Image
frame (unbound)
The VBA code, in Access, on Format is :
Image0.Picture = "c:\data\" & Document_Name
After converting this report to DAP, it displays the textbox and My Title.

Data access page vba code
I have created a data access page from a ACCESS form in Access 2003. The
hyperlinks no longer work, the buttons no longer work. All VBA code is
commented-out in the html page. The data is now represented by "textarea"s.
How can I access the contents of a data field/column to create a hyperlink
like situation? And can I requery or filter the data shown if I implement the
buttons without c...

Timeout Expired
I am looking on data via ADP. The ADP gets the data from a view on a
SQL-Server. With growing tables I get the error message: "Timeout expired"
Is there a way to change the settings to eliminate this problem?

DAP Control Documentation
I would like to start using DAP forms more often. Can you you suggest where
I can find better documention on the controls for these forms?
Difficulties I have are:
* Drop downs - I get offered Help on Combos which are nothing like the same...
* Drop Downs - where do you set non-table values - e.g. Choice 1, Choice 2
etc ?
* What causes drop downs not to display values from tables when t...

Only Heading Displayed for Some Users Version: 2000 (9.0)
I've got a DAP created in Access 2000, which is being accessed via the
company network. Users are on XP with IE6. All have Office XP Web Components
installed. DB and DAP are in the same network folder, and all users have full
access. For most users, everything works fine - the page displays properly,
the data is visible, etc. For a couple users, only the heading is displayed.

Missing records
I enter info on a form and have a database with about 600 records, however
some of the records have disappeared - randomly, not many but ones that I

Newbie Problems
Hi All,
I have created my first data access page and this works fine when I run
it from Access, but when I right click on the report then run "web page
preview" I get the errors:-
"You do not have the necessary permissions to use......" then the path
of the DB.
It then says
"data provider could not be initialised".
How do I enable permissions on the DB to allow external access / ...

Expand "All" button
Novice user here...but how do I create an "Expand All" button which takes the
place of clicking off every grouping of records? I have 5 Groups, with 5-30
records and sub-groups in each group, so you may have to click 50 times to
expand all the records/groups. I'd like to give my users a "one-click"
button to expand all or unexpand all, because some will only want to see the

HTML and Excel Reporting
Hello all, I currently have designed DAP reports that I plan to make
available to a group of users. I have successfully built a bunch of
reports that my users (non-Access owners) are able to see as an html
page. Most reports have some type of prompting (e.g., begin, end
dates). The html reports work great prompting the user before running

Formatting text boxes
I have created a Data Access Page using Access 2003. It works great
but I don't like what is happening with the format of the text boxes.
For example, I have a column in my database that I have defined as
char(100). (I have also tried varchar(100)). When the data appears on

Can grow
I am looking to create a text box that may have more or less data in it
depending on the information. How can I have this automatically adjust in a
Data Access Page? I realize there is the option can grow in a Report, but I
