Hello
Hello,
I was writing to get ideas of what everyone thinks. I am wanting to start
my own business and was wondering what everyone would be interested in
seeing started? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Packaging large number of files with the Packaging Wizard
I have a large number of files (several hundred) in several subdirectories
that need to be packaged with my .mde and the AccessRuntime. The packaging
wizard does not appear to allow me more than 83 before it 'tops out'. Is this
a known limit to the wizard? Is there a 'best practice' I should be following
that would allow me to package this monster?
TIA

Access 2007 runtime
New to the group, and I did scan the archives, but could not find much on
the subject; what is the latest word on the release of the Access 2007
runtime? All I could find was a "Real Soon Now" thread in an RSS feed, back
in March of this year.

Access in wireless PDA scanner
Hi all! Not long ago I wrote an Access database to maintain inventory
operations in a tiny warehouse of a friend of mine. Now he has expressed
some interest in having a PDA (wireless with built-in scanner) to read the
barcode of an item and bring its details on the PDA screen.
It sounds easy (I guess) but I do not how to proceed from this point on. He
only wants one PDA, but I'm not fam...

Access 2002 Runtime and Vista
All,
When I try and install Access 2002 RunTime on Vista Business I get the
error message, "The Office System Pack cannot be installed on this
system because it requires Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 or later."
I've had a similar problem in the past doing this with XP SP2 but
there was a workaround involving removing the "DBMSADSN.DLL" reference
in the "Ospfilelist.txt" file. This fix d...

I am trying to package my Access 2003 program using the Office 2003 developer

I have had to include some system32 dlls in the program. When I install the
package, these dlls are in the package location and not in system32. How do
I make these files install in system32....

Some problems when I create Access 2003 Runtime
Hi,
It is my first time to use Access 2003 Developer's Kit to create Access 2003
runtime. We just convert Access 97 programs to Access 2003.
I encounter a number of problems
1) When I invoke the Access 2003 runtime front end, I get an error message
saying that I have to download Jet 4.0 SP8. However, when I attempt to
install it on a Windows XP SP2 workstation, it mentions that th...

Replace null value with zero
I am building queries off of other queries in Access. The table that one of
the first queries is retrieving info from has no data for this particular
query. Therefore when I run a query off the first query, it is returning a
null value in a cell that will then be queried (along with others) and
added up for a total value. So when the null value is added to the other
values, it returns a ...

Sourcesafe SaveAsText with arabic text
To talk to Sourcesafe, Access exports and imports the forms in ASCII format
and the arabic text in the resulting exports is changed to:
Caption ="????? ????????:"
The forms then error when they try to import again. And as you can see
above, even if they did import the text would be lost!
Is there anyway to change the format used by saveastext and loadfromtext ?

Deploying Access 2002 with runtime
Hi,
I am using Office XP Developer package and deployment wizard to deploy an
Access 2002 application with runtime. It has always worked before, but I
just tried it on a new computer with XP SP2. I am getting the error that it
can't install because Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 is required. As far as
I can tell all the service pack updates have been applied to my development

creating a word mailmerge via automation for multiple records
Hi All,
We have used automation to create documents via word mailmerge from our
access db. We can just press a button and as long as all our dbs and files
are in place, it works great! Except for our records that need to have
multiple recipients for one letter, multiple student awards for one recipient
award report, etc. Does anyone know how we could modify the code and the
documents ...

ADE and User-Level Security
LIke everyone else here, I have a 2003 db that I will be marketing. And I
would like it to be as secure as possible. I purchased the VSTO so I have
the tools I need. Being overly paranoid, I want to run the Startup Wizard,
Packaging wizard and User-Level Security wizard. My question is the order I
should run them. If I run the User-Level Security Wizard first, I find I do

How to acquire ADE 2003 ?
I'm a small non-profit ministry that developes Access-based software for
churches. The applications are currently based on Access 2000. If a client
doesn't have Access 2000 (or later), I currently distribute Access 2000
Runtime along with the application.
I now wish to upgrade the overall environment to Access 2003 (I cannot
consider a later version as most of the client-churches have old...

is currently on the market would have these tools.
The articles I've read indicate that Microsoft Office 2000/XP D...

However I have just noticed that you can now download "Access 2000 Run-
Time" from microsoft with no restrictions for FREE!
