Automating an Excel import
Once a day we recive an Excel spreadsheet that contains data for certain (but
not all) the fields in one of the tables of a database. I know that it is
possible to import these using the wizard but I wondered whether there was
any way to automate the process. For example, ideally I would like a command
button that I clicked which opened up the Windows Explorer Browse window,

Text Import Problem
Hi,
I've been importing text files through ACCESS 97, 2000, 2004, and 2007 for
many years. I just got a call from a client that said he was having problems
importing a text delimited text file using 2007. Once he selects the text
file, and tries to append it into an existing table he just gets a blue
screen after clicking on the OK button. Ha anyone had this problem before?
Thanks...

Importing "Tab-Delimited" text files
I Link a "Tab-delimited" text file, that I download several times a day from
a vendors program, to [TableA]. Everything works fine, until another user
tries to run a query or list box from the [TableA] then nothing happens, all
returns are "Null". I probably should link to a [TableB] and append [TableB]
to [TableA]. Hopefully there's a better way as not to have to add another
manual step. ...

Data lost when exported from Access 2007 report to Word 2007
I created a report in Access 2007 using a table as the source. The report
looks fine in Access. However, when I export it to Word 2007, it loses some
lines of data--not on every page, however. Some pages are fine, others are
missing a line in the middle; some miss a line at the end. If I export it to
a text file, this does not happen; nor does it happen when I export to .pdf
file. I have...

link odbc from multiple sources
I have two sources of data. Server 1 and 2 that have the same type of data
but for different stores. Right now I have to pull the data seperately and
then copy and paste in excel to merge into 1 file. Makes the process slow.
Is there a way to link both sources and essentially have them one on top of
another. Another words pull them at the same time into 1 single linked table....

import xml not a problem, setting key for subtables is

Ok. I made an acrobat PDF form from a schema from Access. One big table and
multiple sub-tables. I was able to get the PDF form to export the xml
properly. I can import the single xml file back into access into multiple
tables.
Here's the problem:
A new record into the main table generates a PermitID (primary key,
autonumber).
I want to know how...

Export Access Report to Excel
I understand there is no built-in way to export an Access report to Excel.
Before anyone asks why I want to do such a thing, it is because my boss wants

know of any code or macro that will export an Access report with formatting

Thanks....

Filtering a Query then Exporting to Excel using VB
Hi,
I have a form with some combo boxes / check boxes and a 'generate report'
button for the user to generate a report based on the criteria they specify.
Using the DoCmd.OpenReport function and a WHERE condition, it successfully
opens the report for criteria the user selects.
So if the user selects the staff member as 'Joe.Bloggs' the report will only
show records for Joe.Bloggs.
