Setting up POP3
I just got my computer and am trying to set-up my yahoo.com account to
connect with windows mail but am not sure how to get it to work. I went into
tools, account and followed the process but it won't connect. Can anyone

Multiple conditions in two separate fields
I am creating a training database. One of the modules has three sub modules
all of which have to be done before the module is regarded as completed. We
record the dates the the sub modules are completed and wind up with data that
looks like this:-

Address
I have designed a Data Bases which has, specifically, two seperate fields:
Residential Address
Postal Address for PO Boxes as separate from Residential where they exist
What I would like, when printing labels and envelopes, is for the system to
pick up the Postal Address, if it is not null, otherwise, display the

Triggering a Query
I have set up a form with 3 cascading drop downs to select vehicle make,
vehicle model, and vehicle year. Each make/model/year combination was
assigned an autonumber value called VINmaster. I have the 3 drop downs

Referential Integrity for Lookup fields in tables
I notice that table fields based on query Lookup list from another table
automatically establish one-to-many relationships between those tables. I
also see, that, although Referential Integrity of those tables is not seen to
be checked in the Edit Relationship Dialog box, it is established as well as
Update Cascading, while Delete Cascading is not.
Is my observation right and I don't need...

Set rst = dbs.OpenRecordset(strSql)
I have used this switchboad for about a year now, but when I linked my table
to the SQL server with OBDC, the code highlighted on this spot.
Set rst = dbs.OpenRecordset(strSql)
I know I could build my own switchboard but I really like like this

Minimizing SwitchBoard
Is there a possibility to to make a SwitchBoard go minimized every time I
leave it (either by clicking OpenOtherForm button or by simply moving cursor
to already open OtherForm)?
I know that I can code every OpenOtherForm button on the Board, but then
minimzing won't happen when I'll just point the cursor to already open form.
In other words, how can I make the SB go down every time the ot...

Access 2007 Pre-Test (Prior to taking Certification Test)
I've been studying Access 2007 and I'd like to find a good pre-test before I
pay for the actual Certification Test (MCAS).
I used the Certiport Tests when I was studying for my Excel 2007
Certification and I found that after the basics were covered, they did not
really test my knowledge of the things that are on the MS Certification Test
for Excel 2007.

microsoft project 2003 reports
Hi does anyone in the community know how I can get a report with the
following fields in it, wbs, resource name,code,group, actual hours, when I
try to produce this report through the normal route the drop down dialog

Export to Snapshot with parameters
I have report wich runs 1) filtered by the ClientID value from the form it
runs from (by strWhere criteria in its VBA code) and 2) filtered by
date-range from the same form (the Date field of the report' query has the

Read-only Links

Parameter Query Mail Merge
I have been using the Word Mail Merge feature in Access 2003 for sending
letters to specific clients using a Parameter Query. When I start the
document in Word the Data Source is automatically linked and the document
(Merge) updates.
Having converted to Access 2007, I now find that every time I open the Word

Querying a query
This database will be the death of me.
I am copying a query process which has worked in the past which involved
several steps which queried queries. The end result was an iif expression -
iif([AmendedDateDue] <Date(), "Overdue", "Not overdue")

Why does my database have two files to it?
I recently took over an instrumentation and control group. We have a
database that we keep our calibrations in that has two files to it. I'm not
sure why is that because it's on a network?
I have been looking at it and there is duplicate tables in it, macros that

returning current month and year
I have a query that has a document date field [DocDate]. I created a new
field using a query that is: YearPurchase: Year([DOCDATE]) and the critera is
Year(Now()).
I'm pulling from 3 different tables all of which have [DocDate] fields.

Count in a Report Footer of a Report
I have a report (run off a query) that lists:
Name Dept Code 1 Code2 Code 3
The Code fields are text (Code1 = AAA, Code 2 = BBB, Code 3 = CCC).
Each person may have results in any, some or all of the code fields. I want
to add a total count at the bottom of the report.

DSUM??
I want to create a new field with a query, and sum the records in an existing
field, based on the criteria of another field.
In other words, let's say I have an Invoice# field and an InvAmt field. How
do I create a 3rd field in a query that totals all InvAmts for each instance
that a specific Invoice# appears in the Invoice# field?
