Something corrupted?
Hi
I've been browsing around in the discussion groups for a while now, but I've
always been too scared to participate. Now I have picked up a problem which
I cannot fix - and here I am, signed up and signed in!
I'm working in Access 2003. When selecting "Link Tables" from File menu,
Get External Data, and I select ODBC Databases as file type, the "Select Data

MSO Setup Begins With Every Access 2003 Startup
I upgraded from MSO Pro 2003 to MSO Pro 2007 and dispised 2007. Worse
software I have encountered since early days of 1982. Deleted 2007 completely
(HDD and Registry). Reinstalled MSO Pro 2003. Everything works fine as it did
prior to the 2007 upgrade EXCEPT Access 2003. Every time I fire up Access,
the MSO Pro 2003 Setup begins, gathers information, and then releases Access.

Chinese comment window!!!
Re-installed office 2000, then Access 2003. Now running a database form
Chinese comments appear!!. I don't want them!

Reinstall Access 2002 pro
Hi,
I reinstalled office xp professional 2002 and can run all programs except
access. It will not open. When I click the start menu icon, It gathers
required information and try to configure. Still Access do not open.

Outlook 2003 setup
My Outlook wont send or recieve any messages for the accounts that I set up.
I keep getting errors that say yahoo wont work and hotmail wont work. Can

Switching between Access XP Professional to 2003
I recently purchased Office Professional 2003 and installed it in its own
directory hoping to be able to use both versions of Access (XP and 2003).
When I use Access 2003; close it and open Access XP windows installer kicks
in and loads Access XP uneventfully. However; when I close Access XP and
attempt to open Access 2003 windows installer kicks in and attempts to

microsoft office access stopped working
I have a similar problem to a previous one posted EXEPT i ONLY have Windows
Vista with MS Office 2007 Home & Student installed. I've just purchased
Access 2007 Upgrade and its installed just fine. I get the following problem
/ message whenever I try to close an object, Table, From etc: Microsoft
Office Access has

Uninstalling Office Enterprise 2007 due to it being corrupted
After installing Microsoft Office Professional Plus and registering it, I
always get a windows installer attempting to reinstall and reconfigure. When
I have tried to uninstall the software to clean it all up and reinstall, I
can't remove the Office Enterprise 2007 because it gives an error message
saying it is sorrupted and I should install the software again.
Any help would be great....

Access 2007 Making a Copy of Itself when Closing Application
I am currently working in Access 2007. My databases are being saved back to
the 2003 Version for others who do not have Office 2007.
My problem is that when I close an access dbase it automatically saves
another copy of itself. For example - database 1.mdb, database 2.mdb, etc.
How do I get this to stop? I know it's simple but I can't remember how to
make it work.

Access 2000 Addin's
I've just had my PC upgraded from Windows 2000 to Windows XP.
As part of this procedure, all the applications have been re-installed by
our technical support department.
I've noticed that none of the Access 2000 addin's appear.
Anyone know how to get them to show so that I can load them?

Installing Access 2000 or Access 2003 using Vista
Does anyone know if Access 2000 and/or Access 2003 will run on a computer
with Vista as the operating system. I went to buy a new laptop and the
salesperson didn't think I could run anything but 2007.

Help with Programing
I don´t know how to title my problem, but the fact is that in the startup
options I selected that I just wanted a form at the startup and I disabled
the options of Menu and changing posibilities. the thing is that now that i
open my project or database I have no options to modify or add any other form
nor object because i simply dont have the control panel of my databse. I just

How do I turn off Autofill in MS Access?
When I key in data into rows, if I type 1, 3, MS Access 2003 puts in "5"
automatically for me, how do I turn this off? Works for 1,2,3 or 21, 23,
25, increments of 1 or 2....

Microsoft Access 2003 Problem
Hi,
I have a visual basic 6.0 application with microsoft access 2003 as
the backend.
One of the users cannot open the access db via the vb app.
All the other users can open the access db from the vb app and when I
asked the user to log on one of the other users machines it seems to
work 100% - the access db opens and he can print the report.
The database resides on a server where +- 8...

Undefined Function?
Has anybody seen this error:
Undefined Function [Right$] in statement.
I have a W2k machine installing O2k Pro. This has not happened before to me
on any type of machine so I am at a loss. I have uninstalled, reinstalled,
Repaired and even deleted all registry entries of MS Office.

installing Vista after Access upgrade
Hello,
I recently purchased MS Office Standard 2007 and now want to add Access
2007. I also have a Vista upgrade cd (from XP) which I plan to install when
the first service pack comes out. When I upgrade to Vista, will it invalidate
or disrupt my Access 2007 upgrade? If it does, is it simply a matter of
reentering a product key to reinstall it?

Compatible Versins of Access
I'm not an Access developer, but need to find an answer to this question to
prove a point for upgrades - Can Office(Access) 2003(or later) open an Access
1.1 or 2.0 db/application and still have it work?

Combining three templates
I am trying to set up one business tracking database using parts of three
different templates. We are a Lead business and need to track orders, leads,
and calls, and tasks. I would like to know how to or if you can connect or
link access templates to form one database. Any suggestions will be greatly

This a corporate environment with multiple Office2003 Pro installed with
default installs from a network install point. ( they all should be
similar). Both XP OS and the office installs up to date with patches.

2007 Installation
I have a new machine with Vista and loaded Office 2002 followed by Office
2007 in separate folders but I can no longer run my 2002 access files. When i
open them in 2002 i get a series of messages
