Kaplan Meier Survival Curves without an addin?
Is it possible to draw Kaplan Meier survival curves in Excel without using an
add-in?
The main difference between these and a normal line plot are that the line
should fall straight down toward the x-axis after each data point rather than
connecting one data point with the next on a diagonal.

Measuring Slope of peak on Excel graph
I have a graph with many peaks which are decreasing and increasing and i
need to get the slope of these peaks ignoring the rest which is below
these peaks.
My graph has many peaks e.g. 50 peaks, each one. What i am trying to do is
draw a line through the top of two peaks and then get the slope of this
line.
Any suggestions?...

How can I ask a chart where its data comes from?
Hi there,
How can I ask a chart where its data comes from? Ideally I would like
to get the range back that is represented by a point on the chart. I
at least need to know which worksheet the data is on.
Is this possible? I cannot see how using Excel VB help.

Need vectors exported from Office/Excel Chart
I'm needing to export high-resolution graphics from Excel, charts from my
data for professional publication at 600 dpi.
I used to be able to copy-paste Office graphs as vector graphics into
Photoshop or Illustrator (my preferred platforms for final finishing on
graphics).
However, the Chart app in Office 2007 seems to dump low-resolution rasters
into anything that's not Office.

All icons on my insert and data tab is greyed out
I was attempting to create a pie chart and clicked the pie chart icon.
However, did not want it embedded in the same Work sheet, so I clicked on the
new work sheet tab. It did not work and somehow I must have triggered
something else and all icons on both my insert tab and data tab is greyed out....

Plotting 1 curve from 2 separate x-axis data
I have stock portfolio info for January thru June, which plots easily.
After portfolio changes, I have another plot for July thru December. Plots

I did try it with diffrent condition and even replace and with or but it
just show me answer 0.
is there any other way to use countif with multiple conditions?...

Pivot chart
I am working with Excel 2007 trying to create a chart. When creating the
line chart within a pivot table, the pivot chart is putting the data that
needs to be in the horizontal axis in the legend series. I would like it to
be switched. The button to switch these items is grayed out. Why is that? If
I just created the data in the Excel spreadsheet (not using a pivot table),
it is not gray...

Select multipul 'Page' items in a Pivot Table
Hi,
I have a Pivot Table with 9 'Page' items. But I can only choose either
'All' or just one from each of the lists. Is there a way to get the 'check
boxes' in the 'Page' part - ie the same as in the 'Row' data please?
I've put the Page items into the Row but this makes my sheet too wide to fit
all the columns on the page.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

I have created a standard line chart, which I hoped to represent two
different data sets on (x-axis = time, y-axis = %).
Data Series 1 plots perfectly.
Data Series 2, instead of plotting the second data series, plots Data Series
1 + Data Series 2 (added together). When you add data labelling, it states

Trying to Edit Graph Title Causes Excel to Crash
I am at my wits end... all of a sudden when I try to edit the graph title in
Excel 07 it crashes 100% of time. I was able to edit them two days ago...
very frustrated.
I thought that it might have been corrupt files, but Excel is acting the

2007 charting problems
Is anybody having these problems, and can anybody tell me how to fix them?
1. In Excel 2003, I could select a range of cells and drag them into a
chart and they would be pasted as a new series into the chart. Is this
feature gone in 2007?

I am using Excel 2003. I have a spreadsheet tab with numerous charts on it.
The charts pull data from other tabs within the same spreadsheet or from
other spreadsheets entirely. When I expand the data each month, some of the
charts grow with the new data and some do not. I can't see any difference in

Charting multiple values per category
Hello all, this is probably a question with a really basic answer,
which is why it's driving me nuts that I can't make it work. Any help
