Moving average trend line
For an XY scatter chart with a 30 day moving average trend line, the trend
line extends 30 days beyond the end of the actual data. Is there a way to
prevent this?

Secondary axis
I am using Office 2007 and used clustered cylinder chart i am trying to use
secondary axis by slecting data series, but i am not able to select the
secondary axis how to do it, same thing i am able to do it in office 2003 for

Multiple Charts
I have a spreadsheet that lists 575 departments with monthly totals for each
department. I need to create individual charts for each department that show
the monthly totals. I was able to create a dropdown list where I can pick
the department but I can't figure out how to correlate the correct row of
data to that department when I change it.

Random Missing Axis Labels - Pivot Charts
I am a reasonably experienced excel user, who has been using pivot

How do i export a pivot chart as a static chart object?
I am trying to paste a pivot charts into Word. I am using pivot charts to
create several charts of the same type from a block of data. Unfortunately
when I pivot the chart, the pasted version in Word also changes, thereby
making all the charts I am pasting change to be the same one as the currently

bar chart prints 1 unwanted horizontal row of dots & tick marks?
Office Excel 2007. Anyone encounter this? The sheet I'm printing is 19
columns wide by 69 rows high with portrait orientation. Bar chart is set
between row 25 and 47 horizontally. The x-axis is increasing months. 2
vertical bars are set between the major gridlines. It so happens that the
chart vertical gridlines are very close to lining up with the spreadsheet
cells above/below the chart...

Org Charts
I have 5 people that report to the same person and currently they all show on
the same row, the owner of the company wants the 3 VPs to show directly
underneath him but the remaining two to have their line drop down lower than
the 3 VP's. IS there a way to do this? Everytime I try it just makes the
box bigger for all of them....

Hi,
A "Marimekko/Lasagne chart" is a valuable format that MS does not support.
Although several excellent solutions have been developed (S Bullen, etc),
they have their flaws.
For 2003 I have some great code that disassembles a Stacked Column chart,
scales the Category-axis and puts it back together again. This is done in
PPT with VBA.

Mathematical Chart with custom X axis
Hi,
I have the X and Y values in a table and want to make a graph with them.
Excel defines the X axis itself with the number of values in the table.
I want to define the X values myself.
My valuies are e.g.:
X - Y
0 - 13
20 - 38
45 - 62
53 - 84
Excel shows now on X=1 two graphs at 20 and 38 which doens't make sence for
me.
How can I do it?...

Stacked Chart
Hi, I am wanting to produce a q-o-q analysis with stacked charts but I cant
seem to get them to line up properly.
Q1 Q1 Q2 Q2
A 4 3 4 5
B 3 2 4 2

Hi All
I have a pivot table which I want to break the data down into month and
year. The data in the main spreadsheet is in day, month and year. So far I

how do I link a text box on a chart to a specific data point?
I have a text box in a chart that I want to move with the data, as additional
data is added to the chart. For instance, if the datapoint is January 5,
2008, as I add additional days, I want the text box associated with the

Adding Data to a Non-Contiguous Range in Excel 2007
I have a chart based upon a non-contiguous range. When I click on the chart
and "Select Data", and then click on the Edit button, I get the expected
dialog box with Selected Values. However, I can't manually edit the values

HOw do I seperate a legend from its chart?
This question was also asked in 2006, but the answer was quite a bit of a
workaround and I am hoping someone might have worked it out by now, I have

hey, i want to extrapolate a number from a graph but cannot see how to do it.
i have a line graph with concentration along the bottom, and effect of change

Conditional Formatting in Pivot tables/charts
Would anyone happen to know if it is possible to use conditional formatting
of information in a pivot table that will result is highlighting of the
corresponding bar in a chart?
I m trying to set up a pivot table so that if a value is less than a set
number it will be highlighted for rapid visual detection.
