Excel 2007 Charting Slow:
I have a problem with Excel 2007 loading a chart in a spreadsheet that was
created in Excel 2003. It takes forever to display the chart. A very
helpful Microsoft rep told me this is a known issue with Excel when one or
more axis settings are Fixed rather than Auto. Changing axis settings to
Auto restores performance but only until you go back to fixed. At least
there's a workaround f...

Using a formula to determine variable rows in Chart
I am trying to build a standard sheet with a chart. This chart may contain
28, 29, 30 or 31 rows depending upon the number of days in the month the
chart is prepared. A database application loads the data into Sheet1, and

How do I force a secondary horizontal axis to act as a date axis?

pivot chart question
Okay, I'm sure I'm not using the correct language while asking this question,
so bare with me....
I have a bar chart plotting volume numbers for each package we sell.
However, only ONE product sells over 1000 cases a week and the rest of the
products are like 10 to 40. So, my chart has one long bar for one product
and small ones which you can hardly see. Is there anyway to build a chart...

accessing outlook data using excel macro
Hey all,
I'm very new with all of this, however, my problem is this:
I have a bunch of data in excel which I then want to compare to certain
"task" fields in outlook (ie. the "Due Date" column in Tasks for example),
then update those outlook fields with new data. I was able to do it in an
Outlook macro, but not in the Excel macro. I get a "User defined type not

Q: Including subtotals in a pivot chart
Hello All:
I am presenting rolling 13 weeks of data on various manufacturing
problemin our operations with a pivot chart. On the chart I would like
to show the subtotals for each problem as well but I cannot figure
out a way of doing this.

Y axis scale macro
I have created a macro (with help from this forum) to automatically adjust
the Y axis based on the selected x axis data. The macro works but when the
macro runs it pages through all the excel sheets that I have the charts on.
Is there a change I can make to the macro so it will stay on the sheet that I
have the button on?

Excel ScatterPlots
I am graphing data points in a scatter plot. Some of the data points
are repeats throughout the data set.
Is there any way to make the size of the dots (data points on the
graph) that I am using depend upon the number of same data points I
have in my data set?
I want the graph to be able to reflect that some points are repeated
many times, not just a single point like all the others.

100% Stacked Bar
Dear All.
I have produced a series of 100% Stacked Bar charts. The charts show the
percentage of people giving ratings of very poor, poor, average, good and
very good.
I would like to add onto the charts a line which shows where above average
ratings are for each of the categories, so that they can be compared 'at a
glance.'
Is there a way that this can be done.

In 2003 it was done using un selecting the "fit to page" button.

Resize chart and preserve formatting (Excel 2007)

I would like to uniformly scale a chart and preserve its current look. When
I currently resize/scale a chart the entire formatting is altered and it no
longer looks correct (when I make it small, the only thing visible is the
chart title).
I read somewhere here that you can copy it as a 'picture' or a 'wmf' file,

MS Excel does not interpolate empty cells
Trying to plot a contour map of a film thickness. The substarte is round.
X/Y coordinates are not in a grid so the data table has several empty cells.
Trying to use 'Tool/Options...', 'Chart' tab and selecting the 'Interpolate'
radio button does nothing. The chart treats the empty cells as zero value.
If it would interpolate I would be happy.

kind of chart?
I have to make a chart that tracks the following data: employee; office
location (city); age; total months service. I have no idea what type of chart
to use. The actual employee name will not be used in the chart. There are
approximately 15 employees per location so I want to somehow group by
location, but I need to show the individual ages and months of services. Help!

Elimiating extra White space around chart ?

Trendline won't show as well
I've got a chart using two data series plotted on separate chart axis. I
need to show a trendline for each of the two data series. If I chart them on
the same axis, then the trendlines show up as expected. But I really need to
have the second data series plotted on a secondary axis. When I move it to
