can't save excel 2002 file
I'm using excel 2002 in a network environment. One user can open and make
changes to a specific .xls file but when other users try to save changes to
that file a msg comes up "DOCUMENT NOT SAVED" . I have checked the properties
for that file and it is not marked as read-only. Does anyone have any clues
as to why this would occur only on this file?...

"cannot start the source application for this object"
I just installed MS Office 2007. I open Excel and choose Insert - Object. I
select Microsoft Word Document. It returns with an error:
"cannot start the source application for this object"
First it tries to repair the problem, but no success.
I can insert an Excel spreadsheet into a Word document.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Becky

Excel Incorrectly Displays Data
In Excel 2003, try typing in 5523.00159 into a cell and set its formatting to
Number with 5 decimal points and no commas. Once you enter this data, it
looks good in the cell but if you go back to the cell and look in the formula
bar, it displays 5523.00158999999. I've tried using other numbers but it
only appears to happen when there are 4 numbers in front of the decimal point

version problem
Hi All,
I have a normal XL file generated by an application as output. There are
cells in it containing decimal numbers stored as text, e.g. "5.2".
When Opening this file in XL2000 I get these data as normal numbers (5.2)
but opening it in XL2003 XL converts strings recognizable as a date to dates,
like 2007/5/2.
What can I do to switch off this silly "development" of XL2003 and keep th...

Excel is giving -7.4E-13 for 60-60. Can anyone explain this? These are the
values and formulas I have for each cell.

c1 = a1-b1 (1480.3)
d1 = 1016.86
