DDE problem between Word and Excel
For years I have been using Word programs (Office 2000 series) to access
Excel name and address data files to produce letters, mailing
labels, etc. Now, when executing a Word merge program, I am all of a sudden
receiving the message, "Waiting for Microsoft Excel to Accept DDE Commands."
The computer then hangs up, as if in a loop. This is true for all my Word

Converting values to text
I have a load of values which i want to convert to text, the text will
depend on the value. ie
If value=1, text = DOG
If value=2, text = CAT
If value=4, text = PIG

Help me with a function which will return the value of the last cell >0 in a
series of non contiguous cells in the same row.
for example:

Conditinal Formatting

I have a data list using A1 through H1245. Row 1 contains the field
headers, with column H called Code. The values in column H are selected from
a drop-down list (validation), with the values set for R, G, or B.

Dependent Drop-Downs (Contextures web site)

Problem with dragging formula down a column
Let' take a simple example:
PRINCIPLE: (cell C3)
INTEREST RATE: (cell D3)
YEAR 1: =SUM(C3+((C3*D3)/100))
OK, everything is fine. Drag it down by itself at you get
=SUM(C4+((C4*D4)/100))
Now you have to go back and change the 4 to a 3.
I have something far more complicated than this. The central problem is the
drag down. I tried holding down the option key but that gives funky...

Hi
I sort of get by with Excel, and really do try with it and it is not
something I use everyday and have never been one for maths
unfortuantely as much as I would like, my brain sayd no!

Hi ,
I need a query database with excel value say as A1 as input parameter and

Copying Formula Problem
suddenly, my formulas will not copy properly in excell. They retain the

Updating Sublists from Master worksheets
My company just compiled a large list of names and addresses for my
job (roughly 22,000) and right now the data is sorted by zipcode.
