Need help scanning a column and getting a return value.
A B C
1 10 12
2 2 67
3 45 10
4 2 18
5 4 16
Both columns consist of hundreds of numbers. What i need to do. I need to
scan Column 'A' for a certain number, once that number is found, it puts the
number directly next to the number (the number in Column 'B') into Column
'C'.

merging spreadsheet data
I have 3 sheets in a spreadsheet and wish the data in cell B27 on sheet 3 to
equal the data in cell C6 on sheet 1, i.e. if C6 = 3200 then B27 will be the
same. How do I write this as a formula or instruction?

Stagnant cell for counting filtered data
I want to keep one cell that houses the count of the data depending on how it
is filtered and that cell remain visible despite how it is filtered. I can't
get the formula =COUNT(C9,C1:C100) to work or get it to stay visible if I
change the filter....

Recalc of SUM() that refers to a cell across a range of worksheets
I'm using Excel 2003 w/ SP2 and have encountered a problem I don't recall
having before. I have a workbook where a summary sheet is used to aggregate
the values in each of the cells in the rest of the sheets by using a formula
with following syntax:

Split up
We are trying to split up the file that can sometimes first names together
with last names sometimes first names are after their last names sometimes
the city and state and zip is in the same column sometimes indifferent column
also sometimes it & Fam which is not a last name this file contains about

inventory
I am no pro in Excel. Please, I need to figure out how to create an
inventory speadsheet that will update the current inventory when saved.
A1) product B1) amt sold C1) price per unit D1) original inventory E1) D1-B1
I'de like to save the updated E1 inventory after each order, clear B1 for
the next order and have E1 always reflect the current stock.

Converting date format
A downloaded dataset has dates in American format, i.e. mm/dd/yyyy, whereas
my regional setting is dd/mm/yyyy.
It was downloaded in csv so currently the cells, those dates are in, are
formatted "General".
What's the easiest way to convert all mm/dd/yyyy dates to dd/mm/yyyy?
I thought this would be straight forward but couldn't find example in Help
file.

How to display month in a column based on a value in a cell
I am a novie excel user, I would like to request a reolve of 2 issues which
may seem easy :
D1 has a date for which I want the first 3 characters of the month to be
displayed in column A1
I want to have the date formatted as 01.01.08 only no matter what the user

Formulas
I have a spreadsheet that is calculating a interest spread. I have numerous
columns where I have applied my formula and I also have summed all the rows
and then applied the same formula to the summed rows. If; however, I sum all
the formulas to get one overall spread, I get a different result. Shouldn't
both results be the same?
