Pivot Table Calculations
Hello, hoping someone can help me consolidate a spreadsheet. I have an
ongoing spreadsheet that has a list of 7 departments and there are
calculations for each department for the number of educational classes
attended. This total is then divided by the number of employees in the
department to come up with the percentage. The total is also then divided

Programmatically finding 2007 Excel and other Office GUIDs
I'm looking for a URL or other document for 2007 Office that is similar to
the information for Office XP found on this URL

Installing components for Microsoft Excel
I HAVE BEEN RUNNIG WINDSOWS XP FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS AND USING EXCEL AND WORD AND
ALL OF A SUDEEN EVERY TIME I GO TO OPEN EXCEL OR WORD I GET 2 MESSAGES -

cell highlight
I have updated from Office Student 2003 to Office Pro 2007. In Office 2003
you could see the chosen cell as it was a light shade of blue. That made it
easy to see the cells you were in and were formatting. I can't seem to figure
out how to get that configuration in 2007. I hope you understand my problem?
Everything else seems to be getting better.

Date set up
Can I just punch-in the numbers for the month, day & year, without the
slashes and Excel shall put the date (in the cell) in the format that I want?...

Excel 2007 files not showing on screen when opened in Excel 2007
Hi,
I have the intermittant problem of files created in Excel 2007 not
appearing inside the Excel window when I open them with Excel 2007.
After opening the file the Windows bar at the bottom shows the file as
open and If I try to open the again file Excel tells me it is already
open.
I do not think the file is minimised so small it cannot be seen as I
have tried clicking everywhere i...

Emergency: Excel 2007: unwanted array inserts itself at startup
I downloaded to my desktop, a sample of work from a coder. It was an array,
10 cells by 10 cells, with a number in each cell; there is a column of "1's",
"2's", etc. to "10"s."
When starting any worksheet, the array inserts itself on top of the existing
data. It eliminates the existing data. When I delete the cells affected by
the array, the original data is also eliminated.

I've used excel 2000 and excel 2003 until now.
I've used the test to column for repetive conversion, set it one and does it
automatically the rest of the day. I use it when I copy data from e-mail and
paste it onto a blank excel worksheet. It may have between 3 and 7 columns
with a delimiters character and have many rows(100+).

Excel 2003 vs 2007
I have a class that will be utilizing Excel 2007 in the spring, but my office
still uses Excel 2003. They have provided me with a copy of Office Std. 2007
so I can download Excel 2007, but I am unsure if I can operate both programs
on the same system. ie. 2003 for work & 2007 for class. Any input would be
appreciated....

How to Use pivot tables in a calculation
I have some data in a pivot table which I want to use in a calculation but
when I try to key off a cell in the table the new cell is a calculation
....GetPivotTable....... and it is impossible to drag this cell down to
other cells that correspond to other cells in the pivot table.
Am I explaining myself??
Or: How do I refer to the contents of a cell in a pivot table?

2000 shared file excel date format on two different computers
Hello,
We have a shared Microsoft Excel 2000 file. When opened on one file it
will show dates as 12/15/08, and when opened on another computer the dates
will show as 12-15-08. Why does this happen? Is there a fix for it?

Barcode scanner and quantities

2007 Excel Add-in created in version 2003 but not valid add-in for

i tried to create an add-in in Version 2003 (xla file) but is only version
2007 add-in file format supported (xlma file). Then when i searching for the
xmla file an i want to add it as an add-in i can't find it under add-ins. i

Excel 2007 won't open Excel 2003
I'm having an odd problem with my Excel 2007. Excel 2007 will not open my
Excel 2003 files by double clicking on them. I tried to associate the Excel
2003 with Excel 2007, but I think I got the wrong Excel file associated, and
now it won't unassociate. Excel 2007 will open the Excel 2003 files, only if
I run Excel 2007 then "Open" the Excel 2003 file through Excel 2007. The

Office measurement options

I was wodering if I could get a free excel file that has a simple PERFORM.
For instance, If I bought a motorcycle at $1,000 for $100 payment a month,

Microsoft Search opens when I click on a file folder
When I attempt to open a file folder by double clicking the Microsoft Search

I cannot add rows to a Sharepoint list when editing in Excel
When I open the Sharepoint v3.0 list in Excel 2003 SP3 (export to
Expreadsheet) I get the following error:
"This list is linked to a Sharepoint document library. You may edit existing
document rows, but you may not add or insert additional records, or commit
changes to folder information".
I have Full Control over this list and the rest of people with same rights
than me can add rows...

Printing multiple non-continuous pages within an Excel worksheet
When printing multiple pages in an Excel worksheet, they must be continuous.
Is there a way to set print features to allow for selection of individual
pages like word allows. Example: 3,7,9,11. This would greatly enhance the

Opening Multiple Excel Files
After upgrading to Excel 2007 I discovered that I could no longer open
multiple excel files by selecting the first file in an explorer window,
holding down the shift key, then selecting the last file, and double
clicking or selecting open. I now have to open each excel file individually.
