DELETE IS GRAYED OUT
All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I cannot delete and entire column in Excel.
Can someone offer suggestions to fix? When I highlight , for example, column
B, and go to Edit--Delte, the Delte is grayed out. Same when I right click.

and this is with ANY worksheet whther populated or blank and they are NOT

Changing number sequence on different pages
I have an excel spreadsheet that is 100 pages long. I would like for page 11
to say page 1 of 1, page 12 to say Page 1 of 2, and so on and so on. At page
41 I would like to start a new numbering sequence again so that it is Page 1
of 1 until the end which would be Page 60 of 60.
Is there a way to do this. I tried all kinds of ways and have failed except

can I do this on excel?
I need to set up a spreadsheet that keeps track of the total hours worked of
three groups. Within those groups are 10 employees. The trick I need
addressed is that while each individual has a total number of hours worked
for the year, we call the person with the lowest number of total hours for
the year.

Can't open Excel files
Our company installed a new server and ever since I can't open an excel file
by double clicking from it's location, it opens Excel and gives the error
message that it can't find the specified file. I have to open Excel first
and then choose the open command and select the file from there. I am the
only person in the office with this particular problem.

Add-In question
Hi
I have created an Excel add-in and would like to know which event is fired
when a wbook is closed so that only the application (ie the add-in) is left
open. What I need to do is disable (not remove) my Custom popupmenu and need
an event to do this from.

Please help Gray excel view
I have installed excel 2003 & mic works 8, When I open my mic works 8 excel
got a error came outs and said, "out of momery, works cannot update the

Reset should give a warning before resetting custom colors.
I just spent 30 minutes customizing colors and accidentally hit reset, losing
my color choices. This is a bad feature!!!!!!!!!!

How do I remove the email header an Excel toolbar?
This morning the email header (to, from, subject, intro) suddenly appeared in
one of my most-used Excel spread sheets. It takes up a lot of screen space,
and I don't want it there. Neither View, Customize, or Options does anything
to help, though when the Customize dialog box is open, the email header
vanishes only to reappear when I close the box....

graph: thicker line for datum axis
In my graph, x-axis is in the middle as I have some negative y values. It is
hard to distiguish x-axis from other horizontal lines (they are all with same
thickness).
Is it possible to make only one line (x-axis line) thicker than others to be
recognized?

How do I autosave a unique Excel file in the file format 03F67000
We have an Excel file that saves a unique copy of the data each time it
closes. This leaves an audit trail of changes over time. The save happens
automatically and creates a file in the format of "03F67000". How can I make

copy a function to a whole column
I am entering a figure in column A, i want column B to automatically work out
the vat element of the figure in column A. Then i want column c to add the 2
figures together and display the answer. No problem i can write the formulae
but i want it to apply to every row on the worksheet (and there could be
thousands) and do not want to write it for every one. Ive tried to copy and

why won't excel recognise times
my 2003 stable book says that when I autofill with a time, such as 11.30am,
the am should change to AM confirming its recognising the data as a time. My
excel 2003 won't do this. Why? And what do I need to do to change it? Only
recently updated from office pro 97....

Dive by Zero Error
I have a spreadsheet that divides 12 cells by another. The problem is
the cells do not always contain data. Is there any way to remove the

Is there a way to see who edited an excel file last? If you use windows
explorer and look at the properties of an excel file you can see the
last modified date you can also see who the original author is. I
would like to see who made the last modifications.
