won't start, I've tried everything
Hi,
My wife has migrated to a new Vista machine. Using Outlook and BCM 2003.
I've gotten outlook working with her old profile and data. I've searched
through messages here and so far:
The SQL and BCM services are running with 'system local'.
There are no disabled items in 'Help About'.
There are no error messages when outlook is started.
I've run out of amo. Any more ideas?

When you get a new lead (contact) it would be great to assign a series of

Problems Launching Marketing Campaigns
Hello,
Whenever I try to launch a marketing campaign after selecting the users and
creating or selecting the word file (*.docx) I receive the following
message:"Business Contact Manager for Outlook could not complete your last

'551 Command RCPT' error message
I am using Outlook 2003 with all the latest updates installed.
When I attempt to send an e-mail froom 'TroopMaster' a Boy Scout program
that placed an e-mail in my outbox I get the following error message:

Report puts wrong dates on emails
I am pulling a report for activity by account for yesterday and it
shows mutliple emails in certain accounts that were created yesterday.
So then I go and look in the history of the account and they aren't
there. Now if I go back to the report and double click on the email,
it shows a message that was sent over a month ago and yet shows in the
report that the created on date is yesterday. Doe...

Suggestions/examples of how to set up BCM for an Insurance Agency
I have a property Casualty insurance agency. We piviot off of multiple
products with the same or different renewal dates (if not written/sold one
year, it will need to roll to the next year) and different premiums. It would
be great if someone would share how they set up their BCM.. it would same me
much time!

Proper Way To Backup BCM
What exactly is the proper way to backup BCM? I'm using Outlook 2007
1) File - Import & Export - BCM For Outlook - Export To A File
or
2) Business Contact Manager - Database Tools - Manage Database - Backup
Database
What is the better method and what is the difference between the two? They
both produce a .sbb file.

Vista - Office 2003 - Business contact manager - no go
Roger Here -
Install BCM - get warning (Download SP4 BCM) When I try to install SP4 I
immediately get an error and am refered to an MBBSsetuptmpBCAF.log file that
doesn't exists - also when starting outlook answering yes to using BCM with
current profile I get an error that I can't connect to database engine.
Man this is frustrating - any insight would be greatly appreciated....

Can i edit multiple records in phone list withou opening each reco
Hi.
When using outlook contacts I can edit multiple contacts in phone list view
as if it were excel.
I am unable to do this when editing multiple contacts in BCM.
I must open each one individually.
I can edit catagories without opening each record.
Is there a view where I can edit my contacts like a spread sheet - and I
don't mean exporting then importing - I don't think it will keep ...

Outlook Contact Manager - Window Mobile
Hi Folks
have just recently down loaded Business contact manager for mobile (Windows)
Mobile displays Business, and contacts but doesnot diplay Projects,
Opportunities, or any tasks related to Either.
Seems a bit of a waste as I alredy had Contacts and businesses on Mobile ????
Am I misiing something????

BCM accounts folder appears empty
I have created hundreds of accounts in BCM and I can see them on my
Blackberry that's sync'd to my PC as well as when I use a thrif party product
(IMI) to download information. However, the accounts folder appears empty
from BCM. How can I get it to show its contents again?...

Email Fields Missing in Email Message in History View
When in BCM contacts, opening a contact and then viewing the history
shows a list of email messages for a contact. When I double-click on
one of the email messages in the history, it does not show the To: Cc:
fields as you see in a new email message, for example. I am using
Outlook 2007 SP1....

reports to excel : error
Hi there,
When I try to export a report (for instance) from a BCM 2007 to excel, I
got a pop-up saying:
"Business Contact Manager has encountered an internal error in Excel.
Please reinstall Excel and all of its components"
I deleted Excel then reinstalled it with all the office components (just
in case). Same thing.
Any idea ?

BCM "accounts" form won't load
When I attempt to view or originate a business account, I receive an error
message that macros are inhibited, talk to administrator, followed with a
message that the form didn't load. My OL and BCM are on a single,
unconnected laptop. This began happening about a month ago, after a security
update. It's the same with 2003 and 2007 versions. Accounts arrive from
Accounting 2008, but I can't lo...

Saving outlook contacts to BCM
Is there a way to save a new contact directly into your BCM database?
You can do a right click on the contact in your email => add contact to
outlook and than do a move to folder... but this is to much hassle to do
eacht time..
I already changed the default address book to the BCM address book, but no
go.
Or is there a way to sync on a regular base your local contacts to your B...

How do I uninstall Office 2007 that came preloaded on my new comp
I have a new laptop computer that came preloaded with microsoft office 2007.
When I try to uninstall this program I get an error message stating something
about the language in set up not being compatible. I have already loaded
microsoft office 2003, which is my choice to use, but can't get the 2007
office uninstalled....
