Contacts/Distribution List Corruption Errors
System: Vista Ulitimate/Outlook 2007. Basically a stand-alone PC although
linked to some other PCs/Printers via ethernet/router (no file servers).
He has one PST file, and two email accounts setup with this one PST, both
emails are POP3. So only 1 user is accessing the email account.

"Full Name" field reversed
In my Contacts, certain, seemingly random names are reversed in the "Full
Name" field. Although each name is listed as FIRST NAME John and LAST NAME
Smith, the contact then appears as FULL NAME Smith John.
I have the settings set consistently to show the "Full Name" as Last First.
The settings include:

Can mobile sync be limited to specific Outlook contact records?
I have a large contacts dbase under Outlook, and I would to limit syncing
with my phone to just certain records that I "flag" as needed in my HTC
smartphone. Is there an easy way to accomplish and maintain this going
forward? I would like to avoid multiple dbases and just use a field within
each record if possible....

Sync. workstation contacts with exchange server contacts list
I've got a Blackberry Curve 8310 and I use the Contacts list that is located
on our server. We're running SBS 2003 Service Pack 2 and the Workstation is
running xp and outlook 2003. I want my workstation computer contacts list to

Only 1 contact folder does NOT appear in alphabetical order
I'm using XP with Outlook 2003 I have just created a new contact folder but
it does not appear in alphabetical order. How do I get the names sorted
properly? I have checked to make sure I checked to correct sort option. All
of the other folder appear correctly.

Multiple Contact Directories
I have a new phone which will sync with my Outlook 2007 contacts but the
phone is limited to 600 names. Since I have over that number of contacts, I
would like to be ale to create a 2nd contact directory with contact that I
can access in Outlook but which will not be synced to me phone. Contact

I reinstalled Outlook 2003 on a new computer and moved the .pst files and

outlook 2003 contact link inside of contacts is missing?
In Outlook 2003 (CONTACTS) at the bottom of the notes field there was a
button also called "CONTACTS" and it would take me directly to another
contact. Its now missing in 2007, does anyone know how I can get it back?

need contacts on 2 computers...just copy PST file?
I am new to outlook 2007 and I use a laptop and a desktop.
In outlook express I used to just copy and paste the address book file.
In Outlook 2007, can I just copy the PST file? Or is there an easier way?

Accidently deleted Distribution list..can't get back-up in
I just started using Outlook and might have made a big mistake.
I was looking in a distribution list and I wanted to delete one entry in it.
I hit DELETE and it deleted the entire list. (I now know I should have hit
remove)
I had a PST file marked back-up, but I didn't want to switch to that file
because I had made about 50 changes to the first file today...so the back-up

Entering phone numbers / filling in "Standortinformationen" popups
I am running Vista in Germany (it has seriously been a pain that I can't
change it to English without paying to upgrade), and installed Office 2007 in
English (thankfully this was possible).
When I try to edit contact's phone numbers or create new contacts with
anything in the "phone" field, and tab away from the phone field, Outlook

Mail app can't read address book
After a fatal crash I had to reload the OS (XP upgraded to SP3). I then
reloaded MS Office Pro 2003. I had the old Outlook.pst and extend.dat files
which I then copied over into the ...\local settings\application
data\microsoft\outlook folder and renamed them and over wrote the resident
files.
When I opened Outlook all the emails were there and all the contact
information was there...

Open contacts from PST file
Hello,
I copied my Exchange contacts to PST file. Now on second computer I opened
this PST file - but I have no idea how to open contacts folder from this PST
file. I don't want to import contacts; I just want to open it from PST file
and use it as my contact backup. Anybody can help me? I am using MS Outlook

Problems with associating contacts with mail app.
After a major system crash I reloaded the OS and Office Professional 2003,
among others. I had saved the outlook.pst and extend.dat files from the old
install and copied them into the ...Local settings\Application

Win XP/Outlook 2007 contacts don't appear in address book
I am using Windows XP and Office 2007. After configuring my e-mail account
and data files, I selected "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" on
the "Outlook Address Book" tab of the "Contacts Properties" dialog box. My
contacts appeared in the "Address Book" dialog box just fine for awhile.

Using Outlook for Contacts Only
Is there a way to configure Outlook to manage contacts only? I don't use it
for email (I use MSN), and have 2000+ emails that are in the inbox. I think
if I delete them on Outlook, they'll be deleted from MSN? I don't want them
in both places. Help, please!...

MS Office Outlook won't let delete a telephone number.
I try to delete a phone number in contacts but outlook won"t let me do it. It
keeps putting up a dialog box asking for area code. I don't wamt to put in a
phone number. I have to go to Task Manager to unlock the program.
