Attaching photo to email
I use Vista and Windows Mail and am trying to send a photo attached to an
email.
I go into Pictures, highlight the photo which brings up a box asking me to
choose a size for the photo, then when I have chosen the size a new email
with the photo attached appears ready to be sent. So far so good. However,
there is a message at the top saying "This email has not been sent". When I

"flag for me" greyed
In my OL'07, for some reason the 'flag for me' option under the 'flag for
recipient' option on a new message, is grayed out. I know that I have
recently used it for some message, so not sure why now it's not giving me the
option.
any ideas?

Saving many emails to hard disk
in outlook 2007, I used to be able to drag and drop my emails that i wanted
to save on my hard drive to an open folder and they would copy themselves in
..msg format to the folder. this has stopped working anyone know why?...

Maps add-in Outlook 2007
What happend to the maps add-in in noutlook 2007. I had it working pretty
well in 2003. I had to hit the maps print icon to bring up the search
feature and insert directions into the calendar entry. It was a little odd
but it worked. When I installed 2007 I got a message that live maps had to
be repaired, which I did, but all it will do now is insert the small map

Outlook 2003 Send Receive Error
Hi, new to this discussion group, but not new to Outlook, have been using it
for years without any trouble... until yesterday...
I am using Outlook 2003. Yesterday, I downloaded the latest updates from MS.
Since the download, Outlook cannot send and receive. When I open Outlook and
test the account settings, the program cannot 'connect to the incoming mail

Data File Does not close properly
I am using outlook 2007 and vista ultimate. Everytime I open outlook I get
an error message that says "A data file did not close properly the last time
it was used" and then it goes into checking the problem. How can I find out
what the data file is and how can I fix the problem or allow it to close
properly?

Outlook 2003 Installation and Profile Wizard Exchange Server Settings
Is there any way to preconfigure the Outlook 2003 Exchange settings
when the user's domain login to Windows XP is not the same as the
domain, user name and password used for accessing thier Exchange

How see an email address in Outlook 2007, right click doesn't work
I was using Outlook 2002. If I wanted to see someone's actual email address
used in a message, I could right click on that name, say "Joe Blow" (in the
to or from or cc line) and see properties which went with that name,
specifically "joe@blow.com".
This doesn't seem to work in Outlook '07, which if true is an astounding

outlook exits with message to replace normal.dot
Just when things were working great, I get this message every time I exit
Outlook:
"The file normal.dot already exists. Do you want to replace the existing
file?"
I don't really care what Outlook does with the normal dot. I don't use word
other than with Outlook. I can't understand why the normal.dot would need to
be replaced. Earlier today I searched for "normal" and only one normal....

Sync or replicate Outlook data to another PC?
Using Office Outlook '07. The only thing I use it for is the calendar
and contact list. I have data in the ToDo and Notes parts as well, but
I no longer use those.
My primary setup is on an XP Pro SP3 desktop, and I would like to sync
or replicate my Outlook data to my Vista Ultimate SP1 laptop over my
home LAN. I specifically do not want to do this through "the cloud"

Can outlook change my email in gmail to "read"?
Whenever I read an e-mail in outlook, it still stays as "unread" in my gmail
account. Is there anyway that when I read email in outlook, it can
automatically change the email in my gmail to read?
It just gets confusing when I'm checking my email from a remote location and
I see I have over 100 unread emails, however according to outlook I only have
one or two unread....

sync outlook email with windows live email
In searching for a way to import my emails into Win live mail, I find the
word "SYNC" too many times. In fact, in none of these "SYNC" solutions is
there a sync! It's one way import or export but never TWO WAY. SYNC means 2
way! If Outlook Office Connector "SYNCS" then I should end up with the same
email folders & emails in both Outlook and Win LIve email...doesn't happen!

Limit of three email addresses for a contact
I am using Outlook 2007.
The limit of three e-mail addresses for a single contact is by design of the
MAPI component object model so it cannot be (at least in my knowledge)
overridden. (I would be glad to be corrected)
If I have one contact with more than three email addresses I am forced to

Port 25 not listening
After more than a year, I suddenly can't send emails. Telneting doesn't work,
and it's not in the list of listening ports. This started after I adjusted my
wireless router to allow a friend on (where Ihad to change my Encryption
setting), but it's related to my computer, not the router, as it's still

OL 2007 Category Behavior
What could cause categories to change on their own?
For example: I've had categories assign themselves to emails/messages own
their own, when I've never told them to do that for those emails.
Or emails in one category somehow assign themselves to another category.
Beginning to thing someone is messing with me or my outlook is going bonkers.

outlook 2007 non repsonsive with antivirus installed
i have a problem that is driving me nuts. i have office 2007, windows vista
64. occassionally (maybe once a month or so) outlook would become
non-responsive meaning you could not do anything. it would not display a

mail merge from outlook
Using Outlook 2003 on WinXP
I have contacts in multiple folders that have been assigned to the "Holiday
Cards" category. I'm looking for a way to pull up all of those contacts
regardless of which folder they are in for a mail merge.

taks folders reminder "checK" does not always stay on

Viewing Activities in PUBLIC Folder
I am struggling trying to view linked activities in a PUBLIC Folder.
Appointmnents, tasks, etc. are linked to the contact in the PUBLIC folder.
When I open the Contact and click on the Activities tab, I am not able to
view anything. I have selected Properties, Activites tab, created a New
Group Folder and selected the proper folder in the PUBLIC folders list, but
nothing is visible.

spacing in 2007 signature block
When I look at my signature in Outlook before I send it is single spaced.
On the receiving end it is double spaced.
How do I get it to read single space in the inbox?

Hi! I was wondering if there's a FAQ or help section on switching from
