In word my font sizes are in chinese. How can I change them to numbers.

Word 2007 crashes and acts funny
I just upgraded to Vista from XP
I then upgraded from Office 2003 to 2007
I launch Word 2007 and either open a file or type text.
I cannot at this point select text or right mouse click on anything.
I exit Word and get the error that Word has stopped working and it restarts
Word. (This happens even if I type nothing in word but just close it)
Also odd that if I click on the Of...

Hyphenation Feature is not available?
In an english Word 2007 version it is not possible to hyhenate german text. I
have allway to change the language of the text to English.
Opening a document i get the message: Hyphenation feature is not available.
It dores not help to run the setup program and trying to reinstall the
feature....

envelope/ label issues crash Word 2007
I have a new system with Vista Ultimate and Office Professional 2007 installed.
If I am in Mailings (either labels or envelopes) and choose a delivery name
and address from the Outlook address list, Word will shut down.
I have tried to purge all my temp files. And I have run the office repair
tool which says I have no issues.
Am I missing something?...

Word 2007 corrupted doc and saved as Rescue.asd - Unreadable
Worked all day yesterday on an important document. Finally went to close and
save it, and Word 2007 announced the file name was no longer available due to
some unspecified problem but it would save it as "rescue.asd" and retrieve it
when re-opening. Rescue.asd would not open - says it's "corrupt".
The original file (I had bean saving as I went) seems to have been removed

Footnotes appearing as a symbol instead of numbers
My footnotes were all numbered and suddenly when I reopened the document,
they now appear with a symbol ד and every single footnote has this same
symbol.
How can I change them back to numbers?...

I just loaded my Office 2003 software on to my new Windows Vista computer.
How ever, every time I start Word the End-User License Agreement window
opens. I have to click the Accept button to continue. How can I stop this

When Print Preview makes errors?
When I type a cover letter in Word 2003, Print Preview shows it with new
mistakes I did not make. When I look back at my manuscript, it is still

Word '03 doesn't find TOC entries
Hi,
Suddenly, on one large (2M) file, Word does not insert a table of
contents, saying that no TOC entries were found. There are many
entries, and up til this morning the doc had a functioning TOC.
But when I refreshed the TOC I lost it.
What's more, I'm generally getting a "Word has insufficient
memory" error when I try to insert a TOC.

Closing Word 2007 Produces Error
I installed Office 2007 about 2 months ago and have had no difficulty with
any of the apps.
Today when closing Word I got the message that "Microsoft Office Word has
stopped working." The system then restarts Word and when I try to close
again it goes through the entire process again.
I tried starting it in Safe Mode and it does not have this problem closing.

Word as email editor turns the page blue
When in Outlook, I tick "use Word as email editor", when the email is html,
it looks fine when sent, but when it arrives, it looks as if the text has
been shaded blue.
If I then forward the message - so that I can edit it and see what's going
on, then it doesn't appear to be either shaded nor have a background. Only

Why doesn't Word work anymore?
I just got done working on a 50 page proposal. Typical mix of text, tables,
and graphics. I worked offline and ultimately uploaded it to a Sharepoint
site. I've always been a supporter of Microsoft products, but their stuff
just doesn't work anymore. Since this morning:
1) Word crashed 7 times.
2) Word had to be killed twice because it was using 100% of my CPU without
signs of finish...

Word 2003: picture cannot be resized in an unprotected section.
I posted this one under "Graphics", but I think it is a bug and should belong

in my company it's used Office Premium 2000 EN-US Edition.
Now i'm installing Office 2000 on new PCs with Windows XP SP2 EN-US Ed.
preinstalled. After the final steps of preinstallation i have upgraded it by

MS Word - Error - PA561401.CAB Not Found
Shortly after an "Auto Update" a while back, I keep getting the same error
message whenever I open Word (2003). When I open WORD it searches my entire
system and then comes back with and error:
Instalation Error - File Not Found
File PA561401.CAB Not Found
The error box suggesgest inserting original install CD's, but my system came
pre-loaded with softward, so I'm at a loss.

Why are words delayed from showing, when working in Word?
When I am writing a simple letter, in Word, it takes 3-5 seconds, before the
words just entered show up on the screen...why the delay? My computer is
3.2Ghz, 2Gb ram, etc....top-end, running XP Pro SP2...I don't get it...I
don't have this problem in any other program, MS or otherwise....

Converted Word Documents
I inadvertantly converted numerous Word documents and don't know how I did it
or how to undo it!! My documents now all look like a bunch of squares and
symbols.
Can anyone please tell me (in the "Dummies" type answer) how I can undo this.
