why are most of the bibliography features in word 2007 greyed out?
I've got MS office 2007 Ultimate 2007, i bought it from itsnotcheating.com
which is a legal site. my problem is with the bibliography feature in word.
most of the "buttons" are greyed out. why? is it because the style button
(also greyed out) says missing? how do i fix it?

Office 2003 and Office 2007 on same PC

When Office 2003 and Office 2007 are installed on a single computer, I
experience problems with Windows Installer.
If Word 2007 is started for the first time it processes some configuration
steps. Next time Word 2007 is started, it doesn't require any configuration

Locked Files
I have a client that, when she opens a word file for the first time
everything works fine. the second time and there after when she opens a word
document, makes some changes, then when she goes to move that document the
computer comes back with "Error moving file or folder, it is being used by
another person or program." i have tried everything i can think of,
uninstalling and reinstalli...

How do I stop the text automatically replacing itself as I type?
When I am word processing, the letters sometimes replace each other. If a
leave out a letter, I cannot replace it without retyping the rest of the
piece. I don't know what causes this and ow to rectify the problem. i would
be grateful if someone could gine me some advice about this....

Hourglass on saving lasts forever
I'm using Word 2003 and periodically get a permament houglass when saving a
file. In Task manager, it shows Word is idle and not responding. My only
option is to 'end now' and lose my updates. Does anyone know the cause and a
fix for this?...

When printing labels in Word 2002 we get the following message: One or more
margins are set outside the printable area of the page. Choose the Fix button
to increase the appropriate margins.
How do I stop the message from displaying. When we choose ignore it prints

File Conversion
When I open up some documents from inside Word 2003 using File Open command,
an error message displays stating that File Conversion needs to take place
and that i must "select the encoding that makes your document readable."
However, if I open up the document from Windows Explorer or Documents list ,
it opens up fine. ...

Word 97 hangs periodically when typing quickly in new XP Pro compu
I just changed over to a new computer equipped with Win XP SP2, and seem to
have a new problem with Word 97.
If I type quickly in Word 97, the program sometimes seems to hang. I don't

Losing User Details in Word / Office XP Pro

Not sure if anyone can help but I am baffled! I installed Office XP on my
machine, and entered my user name as "Firstname LastName" and this was fine

Unable to open hyperlinks in Word2003

control + click urls error
Everytime I try and contol + click an url within a word document I get a
dialog box that pops up and states "the application has been canceled do to
restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system
administrator" even though I am the only admin account.
Anyone know what I can do to allow this to URL to work as it was intended?

Hyperlink to a Word document with '%20' in the filename
Hello All,
I have a file with the name 'test %20.txt'. Yes, the '%20' is actually
typed in the file name.
When I create a hyperlink to this file in Microsoft Word and Click
this link i get: Cannot open file.
Is there a way to encode the URL so that I can open this file with
this name?
I have tried to actually put in "drive:\...\test%20%2520.txt" into the
hyperlink but this also does ...

Problem with Refference Ribon
I am using MS Word 2007 on Windows XP Pro.
My problem is that the citations & bibliography part of the reference ribbon
does not seem to work. It is grayed out, and the dropdown menu for "Style"
says "Missing". When I click Insert Citation, I can only select "Search
Libraries..." as the other two options are grayed out as well....

Converting WordPerfect Labels to Word Labels
The templates I made for converting the labels are on a new site. The
old site will be gone soon.
I don't know if the templates will work for Word 2007 because I don't
have it to test the them.

word needs to convert text ????
i created a document on ms word some time ago and now when i go to open it,
it says that it needs to convert it and that i do not have the converter
installed and so to fix the problem i must insert the disc but i am at
university and the disc is far at home, i cannot open it properly!!!

Username in word
I work tech support and have run into a problem I cannot seem to fix. The
username for some user's keeps changing to weird characters. They are using
this to track changes and everytime they go in to track changes they have to

Hello,
As you can guess I am receiving this message every time I try to open
a word 2007 doccument in the beta version.
I was just wondering if anyone knew why this was being displayed and

MS Word Spell Check Didn't Check Text Marked Do Not to Check.
Recently after I spell check I get a message saying spell check did
not check text marked do not to check. I never indicated I don't want
something checked. At first changing it to a text file worked now
nothing does. This is typical dumb Microsoft. Why not ask if I want
the rest the document spelled checked.

Cross Reference Fields Show as 0
I'm using Word 2002 and I'm trying (in multiple documents) to cross reference
paragraph numbers. I can occasionally insert one or two references but
thereafter every cross reference field I insert will display as 0. Doesn't
seem to matter which document or numbering set is active. Any ideas what I
