solid horizontal lines
Hi I copied some data from a table and put it into my column however there is
a solid black line that appears at the end of the text it goes right across
the page ie from column 2 to the right hand side of the page. How do I get
rid of this line, I can't select it or delete it and everytime I retry
copying the text it comes along. Any advice would be helpful....

INSERTTEXT field help
In Excel I have a list of file paths for a large number of word documents.
What I would like to do is have the field INSERTTEXT to look at the cells in
excel and then insert the text to word.
I would also like a table of contents to be created after they have been
included.

Prompting to fill out forms
I need a way to prompt to fill out ALL forms before being saved. How do I do
this? For instance, if someone only fills in some of the forms in a document
then tries to save, I want something to pop up and tell them: "Please fill
out all forms before saving". Is this even possible?

converting capitals to proper text in Word
gHelp! I've been sent a Word document that has been written entirely in
capitals. I want to convert it to proper text. Any ideas? I know it can be
done in Excel using the PROPER function. Is there somethin similar in Word?
The document is 20 pages log so I don't want to take it all into Excel....

My file path in my word document is adding Filename on the start?
For some reason, all of a sudden when I insert a file name it is coming out
like this? Did I push a wrong button?
FILENAME \p S:\wp\FV\Mo-DV\Consultant\nda&assign-consultant (form).doc
The FILENAME/p should not be on it.... how do I fix it so this does not
happen?

How can I save my text as I'm typing
when I'm typing emails or on a forum I type a really long letter/post etc and
halfway through the computer throws a wobbly and I lose the whole blasted
lot!! I'm hoping theres something in the tools that I can enable to auto
save as I'm typing... or am I expecting too much from a machine that can do
everything except make the tea!!

Hi - I am trying to do up letters for the company. I want to have a letter
written and within the letter have areas where I can tab to so I can add
information specific to the client. ex. I need a mechanical inspection for

Can't Open Works
I have Word 2003 with all the updates. I've been trying to open Works .wps
from 1994-1998 so probably Works 4 or 5. I've downloaded wp2krtf.exe and
Works623_en-US.msi and I still can't get a .wps to open. I've tried
right-clicking to browse to the right file and it doesn't work. I have the
332, 432, 532, 623 cnv files. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any/all help

Can't print envelopes
Help!
All of a sudden I can no longer print envelopes using Word 2007. I printed
some a few weeks ago, but now I can't. When I try to print either nothing
happens or the printer restarts. I can print other documents in Word, but not
envelopes. I tried starting with a new file, but no luck. I have not

floating line in body of doc
Staff have created a doc in word 2007 with a line that spans the body of the
the doc from margin to margin. You can type before it and after it but you

How to make traditional outline in Word 2007
A traditional outline has first heading with Roman Numeral I, next level is
A., next level is arabic numeral 1, then a., etc.
In the "multilevel lists" selections in Word 2007, one of the available
formats is like that, but when I hit return, it doesn't automatically start a
new level (e.g., if I have completed "I. First topic" then hit return, Word
does not automatically generate "II."...

How do I display fonts in MS Word 2007 as NON anti-aliased?
The new version of Word that I just bought by default displays fonts and text
as anti-aliased. Does anyone have any idea how to turn that off?
I hate anti-aliasing on my display fonts!
I already have anti-aliasing turned off for the rest of my Windows (I'm on
XP and I selected NOT to "smooth edges of screen fonts"). But this doesn't

Caption style won't save in my document
I have a document I created based on a template I created. I used captions in
this document. I prefer captions that are 10 point Arial. Sometime between
the 4th and 5th version of my document, the captions switched to 12 point. I
went to Format, Styles, and changed it to 10. Fine. Then I saved the

2007 macros not working from Quick Access Toolbar
I have a few macros that run great in word 2007. I can execute them from
View/Macros, and they work using a keyboard shortcut when assigned. When I
added them as buttons on the Quick Access toolbar, they do not execute. When
I press any of the buttons, nothing happens.
I changed the Trust Center settings in Options to allow all macros both with
and without trust access to the developer...

One side of sheet of paper in printed booklet is upside down
Help! I think I followed all the directions for printing a folded booklet.
However, every time I print it, one side of one sheet of paper is upside
down. Or maybe two of them are upside down. So I can't get the pages to
appear in order in the booklet. Does anybody know what I did wrong?...
