Microsoft Word and Visio
Hello,
In Word 2003, when users click on Insert/Picture/Clipart, Word tries to
install Visio Standard. Since we have a redirected installation folder that
only administrator's have access to, the installation fails. Do we need to
install Visio in order to view Word Clip Art?

Can not get Recent documents to show
I am not able to change\activate the listing for Recent Documents in the
Display options section of Word. The user is set to local admin on the
workstation, which logs into a windows 2003 Server domain. I have deleted the
Data registry Key and made sure all the updates are installed. When rebooted
the option is still greyed out.

Old Document Draft
I have an older document (2003) that shows 2 pages on the main page format

Keyboard Shortcuts for Justification
This is a weird little bug....
Ever since I installed Word 2003 the justification/tabs/etc. have worked
like this: If I select center justification, type my line, and hit enter,
the cursor is still in the center of the next line. But I can easily move it
back to the left margin, not by using the mouse to change the justification

How do I turn off the cover page?
I know this has an easy answer...I'm just busy at work and my secretary is
trying to print a bunch of pages and a coverpage come out on every other one.
How is this corrected? She just need the cover pages to be turned off.

Tab characters in XE field
Hi, quick question - I have some XE entries in my document, within the text
of which I have just inserted tabs, but when I generate an index based on
these codes the tab is changed to a space - is there anyway to preserve the
tab character??

Outlook 2007 with Word 2003
Has anyone come across a list of limitations that come with working with
Outlook 2007 and Word 2003? It seems to me that there are a few, including
some lost Mail Merge functionality, maybe some lost AutoCorrect or Spelling
or AutoText functionality, but I cannot find any handy reference list of what
these might be.

General Macro Question
I have some code for new macros and I understand that a macro is saved in a
template. When I save the file and transfer it to another computer the macro
is no longer working within the file. What am I doing wrong here? The macro
works on my computer within a doc but not when I email the doc to someone and
they open it on their computer.

Find & Replace at beginning of a line
I just inserted 417 quotation marks at the beginning of 417 lines by hand. Is
there any way to do this with Find & Replace? All the lines begin with
different characters and have puncuation:
1374.62,-0.381 needs to look like:
"1374.62","-0.381"
All the other quotes were easy, but I couldn't figure out the leading one.

can i use a Word template in the body of Outlook?
Outlook and Word 2007.
I posted this in the Outlook forum as well but thought someone here may know
as well...
I have a template that I created in MS Word and what I'm wondering is
this...can I use this template in the body of my Outlook message? I do not
want it to be an attachment. I want it to be displayed as the main body of
the message.

How do I convert auto paragraph numbering to static text numbers?

I'm unable to access any of my documents, "File not accessable"
Just recently when I try to access any of my word, excel,etc. docs or files
it says, "File not accessable", or "Your virus protection found a corrupt
file" unable to open, something to that affect. I 've tried to turn off my
Virus protection, any other solutions?...

How do you remove the formatting/sizing boxes in Word 2003?
I created my resume with Word 2007. I then saved it as a .doc so that it
could be read in Word 2003; however, when I open it in Word 2003, it displays
the resizing boxes for my cells. This is not displayed in Word 2007. How do I

Manual feed won't work with merged labels document in Word 2007

print from Tray 1 using manual feed even though I have chosen these

Stop new documents every time I switch to Word
Every time I switch from another program to Word, a new blank document pops
up. About 80% of the time I want to work on an existing document, so I have
to close the new document window. This takes me about a second. In a day I
probably do this 20 times. Over the course of a year, that adds up to 82
minutes. In a decade, that's about 14 lost hours.

Word2007 text form field
I've built a form with text fields.
The problem is when the user cliks on the field, the default text doesn't
disappear.
MS's guidance page (
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/HA100307461033.aspx ) tells you to
check off "Remove content control when contents are edited check box. "
Guess what, it ain't there.....

Undo Changes within a Protected Word Document
Hello
I have a user that has received a protected document (Word 2003) with 100+
pages and has made some changes to it (using Word 2007). Within the
document, it has tracked all the changes made and when they try to undo
previously done changes (undo struck words), the accept/reject a change
option is greyed out. Is there any way around this?
