Further Automation
I remember a few years ago I created a template that had bookmarked Ask
fields throughout, with an Autonew macro that selected the entire document
and then updated the field with an F9, fill-in info manually and OK. Ended
with Ctrl+Home to get to the top. The info typed into the ask field went to
the the appropriate locations in the document. I can not reproduce what I
did previously....

Q&A--Graphics and Word
I am using an older version of Word (from around 2002). I am writing my
family genealogy which is text (not fancy) with pictures interwoven. I could
prepare the document in Publisher and convert to PDF so all my relatives can
read it. The problem is that I want my relatives to be able to add their
stories and pictures to the documnent.

Word doesn't remember toolbar options set
I had this same problem last year and someone had a pretty simple fix
but I reinstalled my software and the problem is back and I can't
remember what the solution was.
When I set the toolbar items the way I like, Word doesn't remember them
and reverts back to the default toolbar options every time I close the
program and open it again.
I'm using Office 2003 for windows.

Word2003 Automation
I am trying to figure out if I can automate the process of linking form
letters with its corresponding type of header (Rexal Corp or International
Compilink Inc).
I would like to beable to click a button, or execute a keyboard shortcut and
have the Header filled in appropriately.

features that help multiple users edit the same file?
What are the features in word to facilitate two people editing the same
file, or version control? The file is on a shared folder on a peer-to-peer
LAN.
I'm using office 2007. I'm not looking for a tutorial. Even just a list of
features/keyword would be nice so I can research those topics further.

Need help creating a church newsletter

file not available
I can create a document in Word, save it and then cannot access it. I get
the message that "file is not available". Extremely frustrating to say the
least. It is in my documents as a saved file. I am able to open it in
Works, but that is not how this should work right?...

Avery label 5267
word 2003 will not let me use all the space available on the Avery label
#5267. When I down loaded Avery software the ability to print to labels
grayed out so i removed the avery software. now when i try to print on a
5267 Avery label lots of space is left on each line because it will not let

Is there a way of comparing several versions of a word document?
Due to the incorrect saving of a document (my Auntie's life story), there are
several different versions at different stages of update in Word. They vary
from 50 pages to 120 pages in length, but because she was adding to the first
document she could see and not necessarily to the most recently updated, she
has added bits and pieces to the versions in an ad hoc manner and not to the

Cannot work with Word 2007 docx
On one of my other PCs (WinXP Pro, Office 2007) I created a word document
(docx - compatibility mode). When I open the document (docx - compatibility
mode) on my Vista Ultimate system (Office 2007) I cannot select any of the
text with my cursor. If I go back to the WinXP system all seems to function

Word tries to open PDF files
I have had Word 2003 and Adobe 7 on my computer for years with no problems.
Suddenly when I try to open a PDF file it tries to open in Word and I get
the small "File conversion" window open in the blank Word window. Something
changed that I can not figure out. Please help if you can.

"running virus scan" slowing down Word
I have Office 2003 installed on Windows XP SP3. I am also using AVG 8 Free.
I have been using AVG since I bought the computer over 3 years ago. Lately
I have been having a hard time opening a Word file. I see the words
"running virus scan" on the lower left of the status bar. It takes much too
long to open the document, approx 20 seconds. My computer is not an extreme
gaming compute...

Saving In "Normal View" How ?
Hello,
Using Word 2002, and XP.
Whenever I open up a particular document, it opens up as a "Web View"
I change in to
"Normal View," SAVE it, but it always re-opens in the Web View.
How do I get it to SAVE in "Normal View," please ?

File View
Is it possible to set a default for the way a folder appears when it is
opened. I use Windows Vista Home Premium and when I select a folder to view
sometimes it opens with Large Icons, sometimes small and other times a list.
Not an earthshaking situation but a little annoying.

Removing a "hidden" watermark?
I'm working with a document in Word 2003. I need to delete a watermark that
