Microsoft Word 97 printing errors
I have been having problems with Microsoft Word 97 lately. I wanted
to print a few copies and when I select file and then print and then I
choose how many copies that I want to make; and an error message comes
on my screen that "Microsoft Word for Windows 97 application file has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." I am running this word program on...

One small problem
In word 2007, while generating a letter, I want:
Ajax Company
123 Main Street
Anytown, XX 12345
Instead I get
Ajax Company
123 Main Street
Anytown, XX 12345
It seems to me that when I do a return, Word thinks I want a new paragraph
and inserts an extra line....TIA

Macro help please!
I'm completely new to Word 2007. While trying to figure out how to have all
my business cards absorb the same changes I made to one, i went to Graham
Major's site and downloaded what i thought was the right macro.
I created the macro, but now I can't get things that I used to be able to
do. For example, I created a template wherein I inserted the date update with
each new letter. It work...

Typing time designation
I'm probably old-fashioned, but I always type time in this format: 7:00 p.m.
More and more often I see 7:00pm or 7:00 PM and Word doesn't seem to mark
any of these as grammatically incorrect. Is there a "right" way?

Properties page
Hi,
there use to be a popup page with all the properties of that document on it in Word 2002 like the date of creation
modified date size etc. But now in Word 2007 the properties is an insert that you put your own information in.
Is there still such a page/popup that has all the doc. info? I know some of this is in the right click on the doc.file
but would like the complete information if poss...

Creating columns - Word 2007
I'm mostly proficient in WordPerfect, but trying to come up to speed in Word
2007 (some limited past experience with Word 2002-2003). I'm trying to
create a document with 4 columns that will allow me to enter information in
the first column, move to the second, third and fourth in order then back to
column 1. In WordPerfect this is known as "parallel" columns as opposed to

How do I start 'Reading' a doc???
Have everything in place (I think), Word doc open and in Document Map mode,
but I can't get the reader to start. Clicking 'Read' does nothing.
What to do?

My status bar is AWOL -- Word 07 - Office Ultimate
The status bar of a new document appears to be AWOL. It says 'Running virus
scan...' and never clears to show Page #, count, word count, and spell check
status. I can load a saved file and it will clear. Is it supposed to do
this? It's doesn't appear to be causing a problem other than it's annoying.
Any ideas?

Having Footer ony appear on 1st page of doc

A) I am creating some letterhead and have put my address and phone
numbers inside the footer.
At the moment, that text in the footer appears in the footer of all pages.
However, it seems better/more proper to only have it appear in footer of

How can I change the window color from light-blue to another color,

margins outside of print range
I created my resume in Word 2000 template and it is exactly as I want.
However, when I print, I get "margins for section 1 are outside of print
range." I can choose "ignore" and it prints perfect but I don't want a
potential employer to get the message. How can I fix? Thank you so much.

Filling in forms automatically
I am trying to create a form that has a list box populated with a number of
Parts I would like the form to fill in the price of the part in a text form
field when a certain part number is selected, I only have 5 parts to select
from. I thought I could use an IFTHEN statement but it appears that this is
only able to be used if I had only 2 parts to select from. Any ideas???...

Status bar missing
I'm not even sure if status bar is what you call the line that shows up at
the bottom and shows any error messages, the page number, etc. I can't seem

help with macros
Hi All.
I have to create a mail merge button which when clicked will merge specific
selected feilds from a word document and create a label tag.
I want to know if this can be automated and done. Ideally the user should be
prompted for what to enter and based on his input the values should be
displayed as a label.
