Position of Tabs and Indents
Word 2003: Could someone please explain to me why a tab placed by
clicking on the formatting bar is sometimes placed at strange positions,
such as 0.53" instead of 0.5"? The same behavior happens with Hanging
Indents. I know how to correct the problem, but I don't know how to
prevent it. It's very annoying....

Images in Word start off clear then turn blurry...why?
I inserted a picture from my files into a Word document, then scaled it down
to the size I needed it. It remains very crisp and sharp and clear.
However, after I save and close it, and open it again, that same image is
just a tad bit blurry, not much, but enough for me to notice. Why does this
happen? My image is a jpeg, 300 dpi, and is originally 8 inches wide, scaled
down in Word t...

Page numbers
Hello.
I wonder if it is possible to add in the same Word document two types of
page numbers, I mean, I have a few pages that I want to include in the footer
the page number of the type: i, ii, iii, ix, and so on... but after a few
pages, in the Introduction, I want to add the standard page numbers: 1, 2, 3,
etc.
Is it possible?
I am working with MS Word 2007.

Word 2007 Font Reverts to Times New Roman In Form Field
I previously created some forms in Word 2003. I now have 2007 and I am
continuously annoyed with some of the fields reverting to Times New Roman
regardless of the font I have selected. It is really difficult to diagnose
since it only happens in some of the fields and not others. I can not find a
relation between the fields that would cause this. Any suggestions?

I have a series of Exhibits; one or more of which will ultimately be
incorporated into a Final Document. My approach up to this point has been to

Exhibits are opened individually by someone other than myself, the template
will “follow†and what others see upon opening the Exhibit, will be

Sizing even page footer affects odd footer size
Hi
I have selected the Different First Page and Different Odd and Even Page
footer check boxes, but when I try to drag the ruler and resize the height of
the footer on any page it affects all footers on all pages by the same amount.
Drag the odd page down, and the even and first page footers get dragged down
too. And vice versa.
All pages are in Section 1. I am in Print Layout view.

Margins in Page View
Hello,
I’ll try to be as straightforward as possible.
I’m working with Word 2000 on Windows XP, and I use the A4 paper format. I
have my top, bottom and side margins set to 2.5cm. When I print out a page,
the result is a sheet of paper with the correct margins: 2.5cm all round. No
problems, everyone’s happy.
However, I’ve just noticed the following: while in page view and in...

size of footnote area while hiding paragraph marks
Hi
I have a document which contains a lot of footnotes on every page. Each
footnote consists of 2-3 words maximum. I was looking for a way to reduce
the blank space to the right of the footnotes, since every footnote starts on
a new line. What I did is hide the paragraph mark at the end of footnotes
1&2, 4&5, 7&8 etc. (and adding tabs for good formatting) to have groups of
three footno...

Adding text to a PDF or other form?
I hate filling in forms by hand, so my current method of filling in a
non-editable form (such as a PDF) is to print it as an MDI, then open
in Office Document Imaging and save as a TIFF, then add this as a
background image in a Word document!
There seem to be two problems with this: it is very tedious, and
sometimes the image has lost quality when I re-open the document.
Any thoughts?

Convert .doc or .rtf to .txt and keep right justification?
Is there a way in Word 2003 to convert an RTF (or DOC) file to TXT and
maintain the right (and left) justification when you open the TXT file
in the likes of notepad?
This conversion would therefore entail automatically adding lots of
single spaces between the words as opposed to the the stretching out
of words and the spaces between them when done in Word.
