spell check finds deleted text when using track changes
Using word track changes (in Word2003), with display set to Final (hide
changes), both the original and the change appear in the spellcheck
window. So for a sentence that originally reads
"Demo sentence fubar" which is then changed to "Demo sentence foo-bar"
Even with Hide changes, the spellchecker window shows:
"Demo sentence fubarfoo-bar"

Word 2003 SP2 thinks past tenses and adverbs are errors
I had this problem a couple of years ago but can't remember how it got fixed.
Word spell-checker underlines in red past tenses ending in -ed and adverbs
ending in -ly. In my latest doc, all the following are marked as wrong:
parked
displayed
explained
elapsed
issued
absolutely
frequently
effectively
partly
....just so you can see the problem specifically.

Hello from Argentina
Hi, folks, I'm here in Argentina with my very old laptop, with Office 2000
installed.
Years ago, I installed it using the original CD's and the "base" gizmo where
one mounted the laptop and had a CD Rom driver.
However, the gizmo is in NY and I'm here with the CDs, mind you, but no
place to run them.
I need to install the Spanish language support , and can't do it for lack of
CD Rom dr...

Greek spelling in Office 2003 worse than Office 2002
I installed Proofing Tools 2003 but soon realized that the Greek spelling

works with Proofing Tools 2002, as I am planning to reinstall them?
Thanks

Spell Checker Grayed Out In Options
Office Version: Word 97
O/S: XP Pro - Sp2
Problem: Word 97 will not check the spelling within a word doc and is
grayed out in the options area.
I tried to check and see if the user has permissions set within the Regestry
for that particular value, which is noted in Microsoft Knowledge Base Article
Q257643. I could not find the registry key listed within the article for

Aakey? French thesaurus
Using Word 2004 for Mac, ver. 11.2
I am using the French thesaurus and I am getting many incorrect or bizarre
"synonyms" for words.
For example, a synonym for déterminer (to determine) is given as "Aakey"
which is not a French word at all.
Anyone have any suggestions as to why this may be?
Thank you,
Drom H.

SCANSOFT NUANCE OmniPage Corruption
I just added Omnipage 15 to my computer. Apparently, it usurped WORD's
Custom Dictionary as its own, and in the process, corrupted it so that
neither WORD nor Outlook recognizes it. I have renamed the old custom
dictionary as ".old" so that WORD would create a new Custom Dictionary. I
can read the old Custom Dictionary as a text file. Is there any way that I
