Sort alpha in 1 column with gaps?
How do i sort a-z column 2 only. I can do it if i have a, b, c, d mixed in
column 2 but not if there are gaps, i have shown example below

Printing troubles
I am using Word 2007 and have set up a document that includes many tables.
For the first 29 pages it prints fine, but I have copied in tables from
another Word 2003 document and some of the information in the tables does not
print. Has anyone else had this happen?...

calculations in tables
I am doing calculations in tables in Word but am having trouble with part of
the calculation. In cell A4, I want to insert multiple IF tests. I want to
say that if cell A3=10, make the number in cell A4=1, if cell A3=12, make the
number in cell A4=3, if cell A3=14, make the number in cell A4=5, etc., etc.
Cell A3 could calculate to any of five numbers and basically if it calculates

Single table within document prints incorrectly
Hi all
Firstly I hope this is in the correct group, apologies if not.
My problem is that I have a completed Word 2003 form (created by
another staff member, currently on leave). This form contains a table
with a number of nested tables, all of which print fine, except for
one.
The offending table is formatted as follows:

how can I copy color fill with Text in WORD Tables?
I've created a WORD table that I want to use as a template.
And am trying to copy a cell with its background color / fill to a new cell.
But only the text copies over, not the color fill.
Am I missing something? Is it possible to copy the color fill with the text

Table keeps expanding
I'm using a Table where text is inserted into blocks. The blocks are supposed
to remain "fixed" in size as data goes in, but they are expanding, which
pushes everything below them onto the next page, ruining the format. How can
I fix this?...

Table Row is broken to multiple pages (1 row = 1 page)
Hi,
I have a Content Server application which stored word documents (word 97).
It can be accessed via IE, and Word 2000.
When it is opened through the link (left-click), the table inside the word
document splits to multiple pages (1 row = 1 page).
It doesn't happen when i use a PC with Word 2003 or use 'Save As' then open
from explorer.
Is there any bug reported for this ?

text positioning with table
I have a table locked in position on the left of the document.
Text wrapping is on.
When I enter text on the document it looks fine but when i print the
document the text aligned alongside if the table is almost the table width
away from the right handside of the table.
How do I get the text to print close to the table border on the right hand
side of the table....

Can't draw lines in simple table
Using Word 2003, I created a text box in a doc then inserted a table inside
the box.
The text box is about 19cm square and the table approx 18cm square.
For some reason I'm having trouble drawing vertical lines in the table.
I've been able to do it once or twice, but most of the time, after selecting
'Table>Draw Table', and attempting to drag\draw a line, the point of the

copying format of selected text and pasting on existing text
I'm struggling to work out how to copy a format of selected text in Word 2007
and pasting the format (only) on existing text - all within a table. The
function is quite simple in Excel (ie. Paste Special) but i've never been
able to do it in Word and it's very time consuming to do it individually if u

I have Windows 2003/Home Edition. A Monster.com repo converted my resume into
a table format for uploading purposes. The grid lines can be hidden by going
under "Table" header. I can't figure out how to dublicate the setup. When I

Nudging a column line to the exact point
I'm making a form with tables, and sometimes I try to drag the column line to
a precise point, but it jumps a little to the side of where I want it to be.
It seems as though it has to line up precisely on the ruler up-top. Is there
a way to nudge it to go exactly where I want it? Even better, is there a way
to select the column-line, and then move it left or right with the arrow

text in table format
A rep at Monster converted my resume into a table format. This was done for
uploading purposes. I can turn the grid lines on and off (under "Table") and
manipulate the text, columns, etc. I just can't duplicate what he did. When I
apply auto format to different set of text to try and duplicate the format
the grid lines are permanent and can't be turned on and off. Can anyone help?

Printing wrapped text on a fixed table
My table is in a fixed position at the left hand margin
wrapped text is selected
on the screen the text will fit right up to the edge of the table and the
document looks correct , however when i come to print it the text is the

Moving one row's column lines without affecting the next one
I'm creating a form, I'm dutifully using tables to do so. Sometimes I have
two rows in my form/table with identical columns--but I want to adjust one of
the columns in one of the rows because it isn't wide enough to fit the words

drop down menu appears blank
I'm trying to use a drop down menu to make choices on a web site (just like
this one where you click on a choice and it appears in the box. All I get is
a blue line but no info. sometimes I guess correctly and my choice is

[Word 2007]TOC items are outlined with frames after saving docs as
When I save a document as PDF (using SaveAsPDFandXPS plugin), I have these
frames around every item of the TOC. This is reproduced only in Acrobat
Reader 5 and Foxit Reader. In Acrobat Reader 7 everything is fine.
I heard in MS Word '97-2003 there was a check box disabling the frames in
TOC -- is there anything like that in Word 2007?...
