How do I get rid of "Normal" style in tables ?
I have created a template and don't use "Normal" style anywhere in the
template. When users create a document (from that tamplate) and then create
an table in the document, the table use some table style ("Tabellrutnät" in
swedish). If we position us in the start of the table and press enter, we get
a new paragraph before the table. That paragraph have the "Normal" style.

Linking a paragraph to a table
I wish to have a table be linked/associated with a certain paragraph in a
paper. This is important because I need Tables to immediately follow on the
next page (by themselves) after they are mentioned in the text. But if I
edit my paper or change the spacing of the paragraphs, the Table is out of
place and shoved down.
Is there a method to ensure the placement of the tables within ...

Table of Figures
Hello,
I am trying to create a table of figures. The style of my captions is
'figures'. I try to insert a reference of table and index and in the options
I select figures as the style. However, when I select OK i get an error that
says "Error! no table of figures entries found!". What are some reasons why
it isn't finding by figure captions?

TOC tab leader formatting disappears
My TOC has tab leaders so that the page numbers align right. This format goes
away after I save and close my document. The headings and page numbers are
still correct but the tab leaders are gone . Does anyone know how to fix this?

Table lines not printing
I am using Word 2003
I have a long document with several tables in it. I have printed this
document many times today as it has been revised several times between
yesterday and today. Now all of a suddent, the table's horizontal lines are
not printing and the vertical lines look like they are broken where the

Long Heading creating two seperate entries in TOC
In the document, the long heading was broken up with a soft return, so I
thought that was the issue and replaced it with a space. When compiled, it
continues to come into the TOC as two seperate entries w/page numbers.

How to tell Word not to use captions in a List of Tables
I have over 20 tables I made in Excel that already have a table number and
caption. I have imported these tables into Word and am now constructing a
List of Tables. I figured out how to remove a label, but I cannot figure out
how to remove the table number that Word places above the table to link it to
the List of Tables.

remove a split in a table
I am in word and a table has been created, inserted and has been split, to
show on two pages (not a page break). I believe just the command "Split
table".
However, due to deletions and resizing the document ------ I need to join
the table back together as one whole table. Cannot seem to do it. How to
rejoin a split table ??????????????????? HELPP!...

How do you get rid of blank pages following section breaks?
I've inserted section breaks in a document for page numbering purposes, but
now there are blank pages after each section. I've gone into view mode,
deleted all breaks and reinserted the section breaks, but the blank pages
reappear. What am I doing wrong?? Help! Thanks!...

Selecting a paragraph selects whole table cell
Hi Folks,
When I select a paragraph in a table cell, Word selects the entire contents
of the table cell. This is driving me nuts!
Can anyone tell me how to switch it off?

table of figures
I have created a table of figures using captions. The captions are numbering
themselves and I have a couple of figures that need to be numbered as -a and
-b with same number. I look at 'auto caption' and nothing is checked off. I
have created Figure 19 which I then change to caption to read 19a. I then
try to create 19b, but the number is Figure 20. I overridge 20 with 19b and

TOC error Message
Hey Y'all,
Ran across this error in my TOC after updating the field;
"Frequently Asked Questions 1
Error! Not a valid document self-reference on page 1"
I compared the field info and SEQ chapnum to my other appendices and it
looks the same, and they all work finer than frog hair. Dunno. Anyone know
of a KB item on this error message?

I have created a table of tables from table titles set as 'table style' for
approx 60 tables inserted as pictures in a report - when I update the table
of tables some of the actual tables are pulling into the TOC. The problem

Text in last line on each page gets cut off
I have a table that covers many pages - and each row has a different amount
of text - so inevidebly some of the rows start on one page and continue onto
the next.
When I print the document some of the text in the last line of the page gets
cut off with the lower half of the last line not printing - yet the border of

Preferred width
Could someone please describe when they take effect? I googled it,
and most of the time, it is referred to in a soup of to-do's to
achieve a specific effect. This parameter exists for table, column,
and cell tabs for table properties. They can be hard coded in inches
or relatively coded as a percentage. On some tables, I have 100% for
all 3 tabs, and for another, I have 100% on some tabs,...

Turned off wrap-text, text continues to wrap
I'm using Word 2003 on Windows 2003. I turn off wrap-text for both
the cell of interest and the entire table, but the text still
continues to wrap. I delete the contents and retype it, and it still
wraps. Has anyone ever turned off wrap-text? Did it work?

Second "table on content"
I have a document that consists of a large table. certain cells have content
in a given style. Is there a way to create a second table in the document
that can be automatically populated by the content in the specific style and
later be updated when that content is editted?

Text Box in Form
I've created a form and have several text boxes.
I also opened a premade FAX form to compare. When I click on a content
control (text box) in the FAX it highlights without an additional box around
it with handles to grab for size changing.
When I created my text boxes in my form, no matter how I open the document,
I always get the dashed box with handles to grab so you can resize it.

How to insert a column of a table at the end of another table
I try to insert a column resulting from another table in my main table. The
function Table / Insert / Columns to the right does not work.
The column which I try to insert comes to position in LAST BUT ONE column
but impossible to paste her as LAST column.

Display column and row references
Is there any way to display the column and row indicators in a table.
ie. A, B, C across the columns and 1,2,3 down the rows.
